East Horton Golf Club - Greenwood Course

Unfortunately it rained in the morning and the course was very wet. Good value though.

Upon arrival we were directed to a COVID-secure check in.

The free side bar was open and serving food as well.

Overall the course was in extremely good condition especially given the recent wet weather and general winter conditions.

The fairways were fairly firm and the greens were all firm and played reasonably true.

The tee boxes need a bit of TLC but impressed for the time of year.

The covid social distancing has been completely abandoned at east Horton we walked off after 3 hours to do 9 holes. Queues 7 deep at first tee when we came back to clubhouse, allowed to go to the bar for drinks it should be table service people sat everywhere no social distancing whatsoever all about profit. Tee times need to be 10 minutes apart like everywhere else not 6 minutes, with what’s going on in the world at the moment I found the whole experience shocking to be honest.

Love the course but wet for this time of the year!

Excellent value on the Greenwood course. A better challenge than the Parkland corse. Greens had just been treated, but still ok.

worst greens i’ve ever played on, clearly green staff are out of their depth. Fairways also poor, barely any grass in tees and weeds everywhere. Very disappointing

Great course, well laid out and good variety. Only down side was lots of four balls in front of us!

Course was in poor condition for the time and year. Greens were being maintained, which is understandable, but had been done to such a standard that putting was pointless. Bunkers were full of stones and poorly maintained too.

Pace of play was slow and players were not calling others through despite having a clear hole ahead.

It was a disappointing experience and won’t be returning in a hurry!

Greens were full of sand didn’t even roll, wasn’t worth the money in the slightest, fairways poor conditions, played here before and been brilliant this trip was shocking

The greens were being maintained and sanded which needs to be done but no indication of this when booking or any discount. Tee boxes really scabby and uneven. Course has really gone downhill over the last few years no where near the likes of boundary lakes that is cheaper.

If you can get around this course with a decent score you can play anywhere. Every hole is different with it’s own challenge. Very enjoyable and also physically demanding. A great addition has been the drinks buggy going round the course.

really enjoyed the course. We're beginners and just getting around some local courses and this was our favourite so far. We rented carts and I'm glad we did because its very hilly. Some course knowledge would be an advantage because its no always clear where holes are in relation to some doglegs etc. But all in all, lovely
