As I know the course very well obviously if I didn’t rate it I wouldn’t keep coming back for more
Decided to play the course because both my brother and nephew who have been members for several years had been raving about how it was in great condition. However we found that all the greens had been hollow tyned and subsequently made putting almost impossible with any great accuracy. This somewhat detracted from our enjoyment hence the low rating I have given for course condition. Would suggest anyone intending to play the course should phone prior to check for course conditions to avoid disappointment.
Good Day out
I played the Greenwood course recently and although I’m a member somewhere else I would consider this a good place to be a member ...
Very helpful and friendly staff with a special mention for Keith who went out of his way to drive me round the course on a buggy looking for a lost phone ... and we found it!!
Greenside Bar is great , lovely breakfast and friendly service
Reception staff also very helpful and made you feel very welcome.
In summary , a really good day out and I would recommend this course as a great venue for Society days
Looking forward to my next visit
Great course
Great course, challenging but not too difficult, friendly players, really nice course and consistent greens.
Would definitely play again.
Not bad but not good
Message to course owner, sort your bunkers out. The Greenwood has many well placed bunkers but they are in the most awful condition and let’s the course down massively. Tee boxes also very poor but the greens and fairway in good condition. With some money invested it could become a really
Good course.
Sunday round
Check in was easy course in really good condition greens a bit slow but in good condition
Challenging but very fun course
Course layout is superb and really entices you to shape your shots round all the doglegs. The last 3 holes of the course are stunning with amazing views.
My only criticism, if any, is the fairway needed cutting as it was quite long. However I believe they are letting this grow through to sort out any bits needing TLC.
Course ok. Pace slow in places.
Course was ok but expensive for what it is. Quite a few ‘unloved’ areas. Fair bit of litter on the course and a very smelly decomposing fox near one tee. Staff very friendly and helpful both in the reception and mobile drink seller..
Perfect golf
Absolutely great game of golf. Perfect day for a perfect game.
A must play
East Hornton Greenwood I found a very enjoyable golf course, some very interesting dog legs and par 3's.
It's testing but also very fun, I really recommend playing here....
Good course - needs to improve
Suffering from lack of attention during the lockdown. The club has lost its pro shop; tee mats in use and course slowly recovering from lack of use and maintenance in lockdown.
Staff and booking excellent pace of play was very slow due to an ignorant set of golfers ahead not the clubs fault.
