Great welcome, course in great shape , slow play seems a trait with this course golf etiquette missing at times overall a great course with friendly staff would definitely rec
Dave’s borthday
Great golf course and amenities a real shame about course management very slow individuals with little golf etiquette
Good condition. Slow pace. Bar closed early.
Course was in good condition. Pace of play was really slow (twilight). Bar/clubhouse closed too early. 18th fairway was sloped so much it doesn’t matter where your tee shot goes.
Nice course but clearly maintenance week!
Very nice course but it must have been maintenance week. The greens were literally all sand which was almost unplayable. Would’ve been nice to have been made aware of even discounted the green fee.
Lovely Course & Club
Course fantastic. Some very interesting holes, Course in great condition.
Food and drink afterwards was very good. All staff were very friendly
Lovely course
This is a great course, but and it’s a big but it’s super short I’m not a long hitter and had less than 100 yards in so many holes.
Had great fun playing only took 3hrs to get round.
Mr M
On arrival met by polite and professional approach by conscientious staff to the skylark golf experience-
Excellent condition of course woul recommend this course without hesitation
Great course, wide range of hole difficulties
Lovely course, fairways neat, rough is rough, greens are well kept and tricky depending on where you land. Been here 4 weeks in a row, that should be testament to this review and why we as a group keep coming back.
Highly recommend SkyLark
Great course , short but testing and
In very good condition, clubhouse/ food and staff brilliant - only critique is that tee box’s are uneven in some areas and hence ball is above/below stance - that said a great day out
Great day great course
We played a twilight round on Father’s Day and couldn’t believe just how quiet the course was and what great condition the course was in also. But the reason for this review is to compliment the staff working on this day. They were very friendly and very helpful and also welcoming.
Played course yrs ago when it was quindel ,everything has come on leaks & bounds ,greens were emaculate, fairways and rough cut back a lot ,and to finish it off my mate got hole in 1 on the 17th ,great course and condition ,defnately recommend oh and good breakfast
One of my favourite courses
Always enjoy playing this course when it is in good condition, as it was during my round when it was excellent apart from one or two greens which had been returfed and were just bedding in again
Beware the Ladies 4 ball
Played this course once before in the winter, and upon finding Skylark had come up on hot deal for a very very reasonable price for a pre 1300 tee time, I was very excited to get a round at skylark once again . Upon arrival the lad in the pro shop was very friendly and as I was early it was no bother in teeing off 30/40mins early.
However, this was the last time all seemed well…… from the 2nd tee onwards until the 10th I was stuck behind a ladies 4 ball whom so it seemed for one had never known the simple etiquette of ‘letting through’ a 1ball . Multiple times I arrived on the tee and there was not one acknowledgment from them to let me play through…… let’s just say they very much were the stuck up members type whom frowned upon a non member golfer.
At the turn I decided to skip holes 10 & 11 and from there on in the rest of the round was a true delight. 2 more groups of members let me through and were extremely friendly. After finishing 18 I returned to the 10th & 11th and finished of my round no dramas.
Overall I enjoyed my round at Skylark, yet it was rather tarnished by the ladies 4 ball whom really need to spend more time in learning golfing etiquette and honing in their skills on the range not the course.
Highlight !!!!! Absolutely stunning greens. Great pace and exceptionally true in all conditions
Impressed
I was very impressed by the upgrades to the course, which was in superb condition. I was a member here about 12 years ago and liked what I saw.
