Let down by awful greens
The course in general held up well considering the substantial rainfall of the week/weekend but the condition of the greens made the course a real disappointment. They were in places devoid of any grass at all and due to that were so bumpy it would've been better to have tried to chip in.
If I had paid full price I would've been talking to the staff about getting a refund. Shame because as a course it's decent enough.
Makes you think
the course looks well managed. quite a few ditches located in landing areas, making you think before pulling your driver out. The greens were not great but had just been treated, so I can imagine they will be much improved in the weeks to come.
Overall I enjoyed my round and would most definitely play again!!
No a bad course, very slow play plus could do with maps of holes on score card not just on tee
So as to see all Hazard on the way
Greens were in a real state.
Ok course with hidden ditches everywhere. Worst problem were the greens. They were in terrible condition. Rivets of zigzagged marks scarred the green surfaces so badly that every putt bobbled ridiculously. Some of them looked like the old dry ski slopes they were so bad.
Terrible Greens on the Parkland
Greens have obviously been hollow tined a few weeks ago, but they haven’t been watered at all. They were awful, borderline unplayable to be honest. Impossible to putt on at least half of them due to ridges filled with sand. Quite a few of the tee boxes were in the same condition with bare patches. You can forgive fairways going patchy but greens and tee boxes this bad is just poor management. Reception staff are absolutely lovely though.
Greens were poor
2 wknds in a row now the greens have been very poor. Like putting over a cattle grid at times.
Undergoing maintenance
The greens were in poor condition and were undergoing maintenance. With no temporary greens available, many of the lies around the greens and on them should of been ground under repair. Due to the greens being treated and not in good condition We felt as a group, the golf club should be providing reduced green fee rates at this time and making us aware of the state of the greens..
I appreciate that all golf courses need to be managed to provide a successful return to their best. Furthermore I understand that COVID may of restricted the upkeep on the golf course. However with the general state of the condition around and on the greens this did not warrant a full priced green fee.
I would not recommend any golfers to visit this golf course during this time.
Easy course to walk, quite forgiving
I’ve played the Parkland course many times I found it more forgiving than the Greenwood course at East Horton
Good value for money when the greens are in good condition
Parklands
The welcome is always very good the course is ok the greens did not look like they had been cut
But if yo have played parklands before you know the it is the easier of the 2 courses but still great value great welcome and always very helpful and Friendly can’t wait for my next visit
Golf today
Don’t appreciate being paired with someone else, this was not stated.
It's Alright.
Paying more than £20 would be steep for what is a field. Course is in pretty good shape but it's not the most exciting of layouts
Challenging course fo high handicap
Really good course. Greens in great condition. Wide variety of holes with a few ditches across fairways to catch you out
