Good course for high handicap players.
A busy course, but well organised in all aspects during this difficult period.
Parkland course
excellent experience playing this course would highly recommend, lovely layout and excellent s5aff
Great value for money
The course is great value for money and is always in a good condition
Great day! Amazing course!
Over the past 3 months my friends and I have played twice every week and have loved every minute! It’s amazing to see that the guys here can still provide an amazing experience during these times. Staff are very friendly and nothing ever seems to much. You will find yourself seeing the drinks buggy a few times around the course which has treated us well to a few beers along the way! Greens are a decent pace and fairways are nice and wide. Will be returning Monday for the next round.
Shame GolfNow sell the same teatime to multiple people
Shame GolfNow sell the same teatime to multiple people making it very congested. 2.40hrs for 11 holes as a single player before giving up
COVID Round
The course was is good conditions all be it for a few patchy
Greens. Fairways are very wide but the rough is punishing should you not find them.
Great round - first time there
This course is a well laid out parkland style aptly named. Plenty of space in general with some narrow approaches in between trees and a stream that winds its way across the course providing a repeating obstacle.
Generally flat the final few holes are more hilly & add variety and challenges to the game.
Will play again.
East Horton
Played three times in summer excellent course and lovely meal at the end in spikes bar definitely recommended
Good greens for time of the year
Very muddy, but good greens the only downs was playing off mats and the price I paid 3 days before was £20 each and on the day tee times had it down for £12 which was very disappointing, when I phone to get refund there was a straight forward NO.
First time in 2018 playing 18 holes
Considering all the wet weather we have had so far this year, this course played reasonably well from the fairway, which I found at least once. Ha ha
Never again
I have played this course numerous times of the last 20 years.
I have never seen the course in such a terrible state... too many reasons to support my comments. l know we have had a wet winter, but other courses have coped. Never again.. it was really poor...
Very pleasant, gentle, confidence-booster
Nothing too strenuous and no difficult water, bunker or other natural hazards to contend with. If you want to spend a few hours of a fairly gentle walk occasionally hitting a ball at big, wide fairways and pretty flat greens then this is the course for you. There's a fair few dog legs but all the turns are at about 200-240m so if you can hit a straight one off the tee then getting to the green in regulation is fairly standard. The par 3s are probably the bigger challenge - there is one short one but there is also one at 220 which today with the wind head-on had me contemplating the driver! Very friendly staff and no stress going round - all very calm and pleasant... just what I needed!
Early Start
Got out early on a Muggy Bank Holiday Monday.
Course played well considering the thunderstorm and heavy downpours from the night before.
Drop a head cover somewhere on the back 9, went back to look and couldn't find it... Not a happy bunny at all..!
Left my number at the pro shop in the hope someone would find it and hand it in...
No more than an hour after my round did I get a message from the pro shop saying it had been found and handed in... Brilliant
5 Stars for me
First time played
Me and my golf buddy were very welcomed in the pro shop and club house.
It was a lovely days golfing, no hold ups and easy to navigate around the course. Maps of each hole on each tee box was fab and ball washers too.
Really enjoyable and challenging course
Couldnt fault this course at all. Very open and lobg course with lots of par3 holes and a couple of fairly long par5s probably would advise getting a cart as it can be hilly. Would come again for sure, has a very nice beer garden also.
nice course ,needs looking after a bit better
Played here quite a lot in past, seems that this course doesn't get the attention it should. Greens are very dry and need watering and the bunkers had not been raked for some time leaving a hard crisp topping. Booked a cheap round but if I had payed full price I would not have been too pleased with the condition of the course.
