A very good course

First time playing with my brother and overall it was very good. The course layout was great and the greens were fast but good to putt on. The only downside was that in some parts there was lots of water flooding the bunkers which was annoying but it rained the night before so it’s understandable, so I do recommend this course for anyone who is around Carlisle and Brampton 👌🏽

Great course in good condition

Great welcome in the pro shop and club house. Great menu and lovely food before we played.

Well designed and maintained course. Nice wide fairways and lots of space between the green and tees. Would heartily recommend.

Unfortunately had an unnecessary exchange with a green-keeper who felt who lobbed an approach shot too close to him (he was stationary off the green). It put a dampener on the next few holes

Otherwise a good afternoon enjoyed by my son and I.

Great value and condition despite recent poor weather

The welcome at the pro shop was a sign of the good things to come. The food and ambience of the clubhouse are superb too. There had been very heavy rain for a prolonged period before we played but very little standing water and the course was generally in good condition. The holes are flat but the layout and combination of hazards make it interesting and would recommend it especially if you are able to book on a Hot Deal price which is extremely good value. I would recommend the food extensive menu with plenty of choice and also very good value.

North Gem

Played Eden quite a few times over the year and its got to be one of favourite courses and always a pleasure to play. Booked on Golf Now and a cracking price and was well worth the 110 mile round trip (Newcastle) to play it. Its such a green and mature course with virtually every fairway tree lined and with ample width with beaitifull backdrop scenery of the peak district. Greens were running true and able to take a ball. Clubhouse is so relaxing and the staff were welcoming and friendly, looking forward to play it again next year if not again this year as its a real Gem of the North Course

Eden course visit

Played the Championship course for the 2 nd time this week while I was on holiday in the area.

Found booking in at reception very welcoming, and gave knowledgable information for my round

The course was a good test of golf, with visually pleasing holes for you to play. The course is adjacent the river Eden but flood banking eliminates viewing the river

A neat well presented course for the money paid was excellent value

Would play again when in the area

A Nice Scoreable Course

The course was in super condition though would have liked the greens to be a bit quicker. Fairly wide fairways but enough doglegs and hazards to keep the challenge true all the way around. An easy walk and good signage from hole to hole. Really enjoyed it and would definitely play again.

Good value

Played this and reviewed last week as well so just a small addendum to the first one. A week back some fairways were still a bit soft but I can report they're now fully dried out. The greens also are looking a bit healthier though could have done with a bit of a cut for today. I paid full cost £30 which is a good sensible price. You know my only real gripe here? It maybe sound silly but calling it the "Championship" course is a niggle. To me it suggests it's a top top course. It's not, it's nice to play though, just call it Eden Golf Course/Club. Championship is too fancy.

An inexpensive way to enjoy a quiet round

Was quiet which isn't surprising given it rained all day. They've done well to get the entire course including greens open. Of course conditions are far from perfect due to the rain we've had all year so it was soft in places and I took a lift and place a couple or three times. The course is very flat overall so easy to walk around without much difficulty.

Fairways are generally wide enough even for me, a consistent sprayer of the ball though there are a couple where tee shot placement is key. Pricewise I went on a "hot deal" so very reasonable but even the full price is no deterrent. I'd play it again and recommend unless you're looking for something really challenging.

Excellent round of golf

We booked the Eden Course last minute and we’re not disappointed. The course is relatively flat with wide open fairways. Would be perfect for corporate or society golf. Could not fault the Course condition and the staff in the clubhouse were exemplary. Manageress changed our tee time to avoid four balls without any question. Relatively quiet on the day we played. Would definitely play here again if we are in the area.

return to Eden

despite inclement conditions, the course was excellent, as to be expected with a championship, challenging and punishing, but really enjoyable. I will return to play the Hadrian's course soon
