Perfect for an amateur
Re-starting out on my golf life and this course is lovely. Lucky to be able to play during the day midweek and it's quiet enough to not have the pressure of rushing shots. Well laid out, maintained and not without challenges for a golfer of my standard. Ironically don't want to recommend as don't want it busier 😅
Great course
First time playing here, lovely course well kept, staff very friendly, would definitely recommend to anyone.
Decent course for the money
Course was decent for the price, is a 9 hole course that you do twice with 2 separate tee offs to make it 18. Condition of a few of the greens was a bit lacking, but overall it is decently well kept. Would recommend as it is in a nice location too, worth bearing in mind the check in desk is a very small hut and there are very limited amenities, a few nets to warm up in but no range, pitching green etc.
Fake 18 hole
Literally just a 9 hole course but they have two tee boxes on each hole so you can play it twice. Also you have to walk like back and forth so many times to a different place.
Really enjoyed playing here today (even if I have a good demonstration of how not to play golf). Lovely layout, course in great condition, and the staff and fellow golfers were really friendly. Only thing was the pace of play - bit slow. But it was a lovely day so couldn’t complain. Would definitely come back and bring friends too.
Good layout
An interesting layout. With the different tees it plays more like an 18hole than 9 hole course.
Little gem
Those that know, know. What a lovely little course, not difficult but challenging in places, no bunkers but a little water and some tricky layout to cope with. Course in really good condition, the greens have a small issue at the moment but it’s being addressed (they have what’s commonly known as dollar spot) and it’s not that bad . Staff and members were really welcoming. The only downside is the relative lack of facilities you normally expect at a golf course, it’s a big shed and not a clubhouse but 🤷♂️.
Just because it’s says 9 holes , it’s not the average 9 holes, if you play 18 then the second 9 is played from different tees. Overall I thought it was a little cracker, definitely be back 👍
Great Course Conditions
Considering we played after and during a storm, the course conditions were amazing.
No puddles or boggy areas due to the excellent drainage, fairway condition was great and the even the rough was better than some courses fairways this time of year.
Fun holes and I enjoy playing the same holes on the back 9 but from separate tees, really changing up the way you play the same hole from front to back 9
Staff in the hut were also really friendly
Greens not great
Course is fantastic. They have had issues with disease on the greens which they are sorting but for now the greens aren't good. Look forward to going back in the spring once greens have recovered
