Perfect conditions in July 2021
Can be narrow in places, but this was a lovely round with tightly mowed fairways and nearly perfect greens. Very undulating, no two holes are alike. Clubhouse is fantastic for drinks on the terrace. Very lush surroundings. I liked it very much. (Pace of play was terrible, three members ahead of us just decided to have the laziest of rounds, terrible. No course marshall as clubhouse was very busy).
Rude as you get.
The old cliché of golf clubs being snooty to non members is alive and well here. Turned up for my round and the staff member didn't even look me in the eye and told me I was joining up with a two ball who were already and waiting on the tee despite me being 20 mins early. No offer of a score card, or even directions to where the first tee was. No names of the people I was joining so I had to find them myself and turns out it was a three ball with buggies.
I'm sure the course would be lovely and I'm sure the greens are amazing etc. But with that level utter contempt from the staff I wouldn't recommend this course to an enemy.
Cracking course just outside the M25
Thoroughly enjoyed my first round at Redlibbets. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, engaging and helpful.
Played alongside a couple of lovely members who were farther and son, knew the course well and were very helpful.
The course itself was in cracking condition, well kept greens and fairways. There was a lot of tree surgery work going on, you can tell they really care about the course.
Great clubhouse and some decent food afterwards.
The only thing that could improve is the driving range, it’s very basic and small. I didn’t dare hit driver or woods - but I must stress, this would never put me off from playing golf here again. In fact I can’t wait for golf courses to re-open after #lockdown2 so I can okay here again.
First time played, (my course was fully booked) but easy to follow the layout and the course was in very good condition given it has been very wet.
Wide fairways but nonetheless, challenging holes throughout.
I will play again .
We was out after a comp on Sunday. Oh boy was it slow tee off at 2:30 by darkness we only managed 12 hole's. Greens good fairways need some attention.
Best we played
From staff, food, views and settings along with the stunning course is outstanding.
Probably the worst round I’ve had in terms of performance lol but the place is beautiful !
lovely course and layout, slow play though and sometimes had 3 groups on one hole.
Firstly, I want to say, the staff were confused why I had to pay £50 for the round on GolfNow as their online price was £35. Personally I feel the course was worth every penny!! The course was in excellent condition and the greens were top quality. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to play a challenging course with lightning fast greens!!
3 Ball Tuesday
The course has some very interesting and challenging holes and the location is beautiful. The only thing letting it down for me is the amount of areas where the ground is currently under repair, making the course appear like a patchwork quilt in places. Friendly staff and an enjoyable round overall.
Great condition but extreme slow play spoilt round
The course is in great condition, greens and very quick.
Unfortunately what spoilt things was the extreme slow play, which was infuriating. There was a Marshall starting people off, but not one on the course telling people to hurry up.
I think the problem lies in the fact the the tee times are only spaced 7 mins apart and are mostly 4 balls. This is because the course allow more than one group to book a tee time and join up. Example if I book a 2 ball, then the booking system still allows another 2 ball to book at the same time. This is what is clearly slowing things up.
I know they have not had a lot of income due to Covid, but this approach is a tad greedy and is making the playing experience here not very enjoyable. Since golf courses have opened again I have played 4 courses, and have not had the slow play problem anywhere else.
This was not a one off, a friend played yesterday and said play was even slower.
slow slow slow
Sorry, but nice course and friendly staff but the pace of play was ridiculous.
Tee times, mostly 4 balls every 7 mins is just not doable in the current climate.
We came off after 9 holes having taken 3 hours to that point.
From what we could see, no one was playing slowly but there were just too many people on the course with nowhere to go.
Like the course and the facilities but we won’t attempt to play here again for a while
