My third time to the course this year, can see its every bit as good as it was in the summer, even with the bad resent weather, greens although winter treated, we’re on the hole good, excuse the pun, only disappointment was the 588 par 5, 11th was shortened to a par 3 for drainage works,
Other than that, just go and enjoy a round on a great course for all levels of player
Thursday stroll
Unfortunately we experienced slow play finding ourselves behind 4 elderly members who did not want us to play through.
Also there is major work taking place on two greens and there are two temporary pin flags in place on temporary greens. This spilt the two feature holes considerably, and I would have thought that this would have been pointed out to me on check in and also a further reduced green fee introduced.
Surprised
Having played the course over two years ago i was pleasantly surprised with the changes to the course and the clubhouse, starting the round on what was the old 10th the course was in great condition nice mown fairways and fairly quick and true greens. Great day out and for a fair price. We will be back again.
Lovely course all round.
Have played in the past but appears to be in better condition than before. Nice to play out of bunkers that have loose sand, not something that you find on many other courses. Would definitely play again.
Not bad
Course is in good condition with the greens really good. Only problem is the pace of play as we have been stuck behind players who have no idea about letting you through when they are a couple of holes behind and hold.you up from the second hole. Other than this can't really fault it.
A rare challenge
Forest hill benefits from scenic country side while posing a challenging course benefitting from all holes being different,
The tees which some are under improvement at present will enhance this scenic well presented course more so
Well worth a visit

Not having playing this course for 20yrs was pleasantly surprised, by the massive improvements that have been made, with new or extended holes introduced, the fairways are wide enough for even the loosest of shots, greens are for the most part in very good condition, the rough is minimal witch in turn helps with lost balls and speeds up play, great day, great course, and excellent value for money, can’t wait for my next visit
Quality Course
Course in great condition . Fairways and greens immaculate. Great value for money £15 for 5.20pm tee off time allows a full round in daylight at this time of year. Some great holes. That long Par 5 up and down the hill is a challenge and not even the Stroke 1 index hole, that’s reserved for the 200 yard uphill Par 3.
Only shame was bar closed by time we finished, but great pub the Greyhound in the village a mile up the road.
Nice for the price
Forest hill was a nice course to play. After reading previous reviews that mentioned the greens were awful in the rain. I played in rain today and they ran completely fine. I would recommend to any level of player.

Not played this course for 20yrs and must say it has improved massively, it’s has been much extended, with new holes, fairways are well kept, and wide enough,
Greens however are a little unpredictable for speed I found, sadly club house is been refurbished, but pro shop is open and there is somewhere to food and drink, pace of play was reasonable, I will for sure be returning, to take on the brutal 11 and 14 holes, superb course don’t overlook it
Revt
Course is in good condition and offers a good challenge. The bushes in the pond on the 3rd could do with being cut back as they give you a blind second shot.
Course was in good condition however the tee boxes were under repair and the fairways were longer than should be for this time of year
Poor greens
I was a member here until about 3 years ago.
The greens were always immaculate.
I played thinking about re-joining but greens in terrible state for this time of year.
Very disappointed and won't be back.
Lovely course
Some really good holes here and 2 pavilion approach holes (9 & 18) is most definitely a first for me.
Course is constantly being maintained by friendly ground staff.
Definitely will be visiting again.
Potential very good
Potentially a very good course.
The pro-shop was excellent and the facilities look good, sadly the facilities weren’t open.
The dry spell we’re in hasn’t done the greens any favors.
Enjoyed it!
