Course was in great condition, especially the greens & bunkers. First time playing & was very impressed. Not a long course but narrow & gave a different option to driver off the tee. Will be back again soon.
Slow play
Course over booked up to three groups on each hole ... course could be in better condition definately the poor relation to the Arden course
Aylesford
Course in decent nick, weather not so good, rain showers but course played well and was good to play again rather than the Arden!
Good course.
Not really sure why but didn't enjoy it, trying to find a ball of your anywhere other than the fairway is hard work, not a course for medium rate players, I found it hard going.
Aylesford
First off and wandered around, course in pretty good condition apart from one or two greens.
The course was a good challenge although it was a little unkept in parts. Tees were poor but greens were fine. We had a very slow round behind a society of 50 ladies.I guess that is what you will always be up against at a hotel course such as this.
A credit to the midlands
Course was in fantastic condition, bar prices were spot on, and the views from the outside seating were great
Buggy
£26 for the round is a good price, but £40 for a buggy is steep !.
Aylesford ..Forest of Arden
Second time playing on this course.
I have to say very well kept fairways and greens.
Very good mix of links and woodland holes with its fair share of water.
The greens are rather quick but perfect.
Membership is a bit pricey for the mid to high handicap player who can play once a week
If it was a bit cheaper i would definatley sign up
Highly recommend a ty of golf here
2 ball
Played on a Thursday. Very busy car park shared with Hotel. Changing rooms excellent. Pre round coffee expensive. No starter at the hut on first tee which is unusual for this course. Started on time following a three ball but pace of play v good. Three and a half hours. Whole course in excellent condition and a good challenge.
Only downside was prices in bar. Shared with hotel and reflected hotel prices.
Not as good as expected
Disappointed with coarse considering a hotel coarse. Fairways grass was a bit long. For the same money have played better courses.
Day out
Arrived at the course an hour early to be advised our booking through tee off times had only gone through this morning and that our time had been taken. They squeezed us on but had to be be straight away so couldnt warm up.
well ... I am surprised
Having played the main Arden course many times, I was led to believe that the Ayslesford was a lowly second choice, without much going for it.
Wrong !
What a nice track, not long, but some interesting holes, certainly enough to test most golfing abilities, happy yo go play here again.
Decent course
Good round, had the course to myself as played at midday on a Tuesday. Course was in good condition and greens played well and again kept well.
Only frustration was the green keepers working whilst playing the hole, for example taking the flag out and having to wait for them to do what’s they needs to do but then changing the pin location on return. Not major but annoying as it happens on 3/4 holes in a row.
Overall worth a visit and good value for money.
