Howling drunks shouting swearing zero course etiquette spoilt otherwise nice round

Yob people allowed to play this course. Why anyone would wish to illegally enter this country based on Saturday’s experience is beyond me.

This hotel course seems to have zero manners from the lunch table to the golf course…Al about the money!

Forest of Dean Golf Club

The fairways were good & the greens were excellent running quite fast & very true.My only criticism was that the bunkers were not great & were in need of some care & attention, but despite this an enjoyable day out & would definitely go back to play again 👍⛳️

A good course for the winter

Great greens, they have really looked after them over the winter. Great value and hospitality.

Surprisingly good

After a spell of wet weather and being a bank holiday I was forced to find a golf course with availability within reach of home

I booked the course and was quite impressed by the calm manner in which we were informed that only 11 holes were open.

Pressing on we found the conditions a bit ragged due to the recent rains and lack of attention over the previous Xmas and new year period with temp greens and tees in use but all agreed that under better skies this would be a welcome change from our home course

Great discovery

Course was in great condition. Greens were slow but immaculate. Great variety of holes and lots of elevation changes. 40 minute delay on the first tee and subsequent delays all the way round were the only real disappointment. The sun was shining and we just about finished before the light faded. Would definitely like to play it again. Absolute steal on Golf Now hot deal of just £15 on a Saturday!

Great course and value for money

First time playing this course whilst on holiday, it’s really nice course, quite short but have to be accurate which I like, good variety of holes. Couple of holes have a ‘walk’ between green and next tee.

Course was in great condition although I did think the greens needed a trim or perhaps I’m used to faster greens, at £15 great value and took me about 2 hour 40 mins to get round (a couple of groups let me play through). Would recommend.

Little Gem

Always a pleasure to play. I've played all times of the year here and it never disappoints. Pace of play was slow due to a Club match in front of us. As every where the course was dry but the greens were excellent - don't get fooled by the yardage, tree lined fairways make you plot your round.

Lovely open course

I like this course. It's not too long and quite open, with good greens and bunkers. On the day I played, the pace of play was very slow, due to a lot of four-balls. With the hotel packages on offer, it's a popular venue for Golf Societies, so, for a fast round, it's worth checking beforehand whether it's a society day.

5 hour + round

Our round was frustrated by three four balls who refused to call through. It appears that they were Club members playing in a swindle. Ourselves and the visitors playing in front of us will not be back, which is a shame as the clubhouse provided good food and service and the course had some interesting holes.
