Farnwirth and Great Kever
Much improved since I last played Some interesting holes .
Great value for your money golf course.
£14.00 absolute bargain.
Very friendly members & great vibe in the clubhouse.
You couldn't ask for a course to be in better condition for start of April.
Greens true, tee boxes tidy, fairway & semi rough well manicured, signage clearly marked.
Course not overly busy later in the day, so no hold ups.
Will definitely be returning.
Great afternoon's golf & not too tiring on the old legs.
Thumbs up to green keepers.
Lovely friendly course
This is the first time we have played here. We really enjoyed the round, excellent value for money. We would definitely play here again. Thankyou to all the members and staff to whom we spoke - everyone was very friendly.
Hidden gem
I used to be a member here years ago. Haven’t played it for a long time. I’ve really enjoyed it. The fairways were really good and the greens, even though they had been sanded were running fast and true. Paid £17 for the round which I thought was good value.the clubhouse had some great beers on and the staff were very friendly
Great Little course
The score card shows the course isn’t very long ,what it lacks the length it makes up with hazards all around the course. We played in March (a lot of courses closed due to wet) and found here to be very well drained and dry..Looking forward to a return round in summer when the course is in full bloom.
Really enjoyable for the time of year.
I booked this course knowing that 4 holes were closed. Other than difficulty finding the 3rd tee from the carpark (holes 1&2 closed), everywhere else was well signposted. The fairways were in great condition considering the three storms, and torrential rain we've had. It was a shame there was evidence that the locals like to cause damage to the greens,,but I was still impressed with the speed of the greens for the time of year. Will I play this again? Most certainly;-)
Needs work!
Very poor signage! Had to ask 4 different groups which holes were which as there were no info boards on most of the tee boxes!
3 of the holes had no flags in them and the greens were in quite poor condition for the price being asked per round.
It’s a shame really as the course has real potential but falls well short compared to most courses in the same area.
Would have to improve considerably before I would go back at those prices.
Needs some work
The locals were friendly and can't fault. The course however was very average. Greens bare and bumpy and the longer rough was very excessive. About 2-3 feet tall. Wouldn't be so bad if along way off fairways but within 5 yds. Forget looking for your ball. Sorry but won't be playing again.
Great Lever and Farnworth
The course was ok. There was no signage around the course so had no idea where we was going. No signs on the holes so when you got to it you still wasn't sure wether it was the right one. At one stage of round you have to cross a busy main road but it only told you with spray paint on grass ( good job it wasn't raining) had to ask someone whether we was going the right way. Was following 3 members but they decided to play the course the old way round so that threw us a bit and also caused a 20 minute wait on the 18th tee. I think it should be compulsory to play the course the right way round so as not to cause waiting on the tee's.
Clubhouse not open.
Worst course I've played in 10 years
After 2 lockdowns & a period of good weather, there is really no excuse for bare & bumpy tees, bunkers with stones and no sand, greens with large holes & scrapes in them and poor uneven fairways.
Even at £15 this course is very poor value for money - I have genuinely played better municipals..
We won't be going back again.
Disappointing
So looking forward to playing this course again since I’ve moved away, drove over 30 miles to play it, I do wish I knew the state of the course before I set off!!
Fairways now mowed daisies everywhere,
Rough ridiculous, so long even slightly off the fairways in some places more that knee deep no excuses get it mowed! Slower the pace of play down with everyone looking for balls!!
Tee boxes not numbers, no bins, markings etc
Then to top it off clubhouse shut on a bank holiday
Very disappointed
Value for money
Great value for money, I'm still fairly new to golf and today was the second time I visited here and I find it a good course. Its not to challenging and I like the fact the first hole is a par 3. First time I went they explained the course lay out and gave us a map which was great. This course is great for all players, it has a few par 3s,and some long holes.
Great lever Farnworth gc
course in good condition nice fairways tee areas average bit uneven bunkers mostly unplayable no sand , but advised not to play them. The greens are in poor condition bumpy and not watered rock hard .love playing this course though .thanks for a great day .
First time here in 15 year's
Lovely little course, just needs a bit of tlc in places. Not a long course but some challenging holes. Will be lovely to play in the summer. Me and my Son will definitely be back.
