Delta Worsley Park
Just moved to the area and having been to this hotel numerous times for work events I expected a good quality course. Intended to play alone but a member offered to show me around very kindly. The course is good. Holes 7&8 were especially picturesque.
Paid £45 for a round which is £15-20 more than any other local courses. The rough and fairways were a little overgrown. The greens were 2-3 days overdue a cut. Member confirmed that the course had been on the decline from its heyday and there was some unrest from members. I see their point.
Given how could it could be I rang the next day to enquire about membership - my logic being that things can change and the course was lovely to play.
Staff who answered the phone - given I enquired about leisure club and golf membership - were rude and I helpfull. If you don’t want my business or my money then mission accomplished folks. You don’t deserve it. A real shame.
Very friendly staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful first time I have played here starter hut gentleman came out and give me a great inside to the course on the map outside. Course was a bit boggy lost a ball cause it just buried in ground. Green in great condition though. Some really good holes especially 5 to 8. Well worth another visit in summer.
Winter Golf
Staff were extremely friendly at the shop, starter's hut and half way house. Greens were in great condition considering the recent weather, Some of the fairways were a little wet but overall great course and would certainly play again.
Soggy September Sunday
Course is good condition following heavy recent rainfall
Soggy September Sunday
Course in great condition given some recent heavy rainfall
Championship course
Every hole was in excellent condition could fault it, only problem we found was a 4 ball in front of us were very slow and didn’t invite us to play through other than that everything was great
Well maintained course
The greens are always in great condition. Bunkers too. No concern of finding a huge rock in there and damage your club. Interesting course layout and very picturesque. Only thing I’d say is that hole 13 isn’t very well signposted. But it’s right next to hole 10.
Over priced council course at best
Played the front 10 and walked off. Pace of play was shocking had to wait 10 mins at every tee. Greens were slow and I've seen better on council courses. The fairways around the greens we terrible every hole had GUR areas. Considering the warm dry weather the last few months course in terrible condition dread to see how bad it plays through the winter. Would t play again .
Great course!
Lovely course but they need to install more signs from green to tee. It’s a bit confusing for someone who has never played the course before.
Greens and fairways were in perfect condition.
Course very damp but greens mega
Played here many times early 2000’s so was excited to go back.
Course layout remains fantastic but I used to always recall it being sort / damp and that was still the case on Sunday.
Can only assume it’s built on clay. We had our winter mats to ensure we were not taking huge divots.
Greens however were amazing for the time of year.
Everyone mega friendly. 4 hours 20 for a fourball. 19th perfect too.
Will be back in summer.
Good course
Really good course, we just had slow pace of play due to weather condiction, but that isnt anyones fault. Played in summer and pace is a lot quicker. Would play again
Accommodating
I had booked 7:30pm by accident and turned up for 7:30am tee time. Staff were very accommodating and managed to squeeze me in close to the tee time I thought I had booked.
Course in great condition and greens rolling true
Excellent course
Excellent course. No complaints wat so ever. Excellent value for money
Brilliant Corse
Corse was in unbelievable condition considering the rain that we’ve had. Staff were all really friendly, and overall vibe was great.
Somewhat damp!
The course is completely sodden. They’ve had a reported additional six feet of rain above normal in the past 18 months. Absolutely nothing the great staff can do about that but it made a quite straightforward course much more difficult. I lost at least two balls that just disappeared into the fairway and had multiple others plug. Aside from the tee boxes and greens everything was mushy underfoot. The greens were in great shape considering. Staff were excellent as always. Hopefully the rain will stop and the course can dry out. Looks out of the window onto No. 1 tee box as the rain starts again…
