Haigh Woodland Park - Balcarres Course

Used to play this course years ago only to watch it fall into a bad state so stopped playing it ! Played it 18 month ang and wasn’t that impressed although it was in a better state played it again on Friday and was very impressed with the overall condition considering the weather we have had this year couldn’t really find fault with it although if I was to nit pick the tee boxes could do with a bit of attention but having said that they are probably no worse than Duxbury and they are charging £35 as opposed to £19 to play on the same day and Duxbury is in no better shape either will definitely play again

Enjoyed playing here very busy course i teed off at 7.04 and a few out in front of me. The tee boxes aren't the best and are in shabby condition but the course itself is enjoyable to play and some tough holes on the course. Would recommend it but just dont turn up expecting to play Augusta and you will enjoy it and a decent price any course under £20 is great

My wife and I have played the course several times this year despite having many more local course to choose from.

We like Haigh Hall , the course layout is good , some challenging holes, it is generally in good condition and very rarely are we held up from playing at our own reasonable pace

Good course, greens were like concrete though with some having no grass around the edges. In desperate need of watering/seeding. Fairways good. Tees also need some TLC.

Was pretty busy for a Thursday mid-morning round so some waiting around, but seemed to clear up from hold 10 onwards.

Will be back to play again and would recommend, less than £20 a round is great too.

You would be hard pressed to find a 18 hole golf course better value for money. Course in good condition for a very reasonable green fee.

Coarse layout really good, the course just needs a bit of TLC.

You get what you pay for.

Awful pace of play 8 minute intervals clearly do not work here. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to do the front nine at which point we left rather then face a a near six hour round. Shame really as the course was nice.

Really good value for money you can't knock this place, started playing here more regular over the last few months and considering to join as a member
