Great course
Excellent greens and really enjoyable course. Cracking green fee price via Golf Now as well.
Would love to play again if in the area.
Improving
Played here a few times, the course is located in a lovely country park amongst many other facilities such as cafes, shops, children's entertainment, mini golf. I'll be honest the value for money is great but the greens are far from perfect a few bobbly puts and the odd weed growing in them. The bunkers are not in the best condition either (top tip; dont go in them). Other than that everything is good nice fairways, a tricky course layout to test your game. It has definitely improved and the staff are working hard so kudos to them! It's not on my list of favourite courses but if you want a cheap satisfying round this is the course for you!
Excellent value and great course
I'm not sure what people expect when they do reviews but I thought this was a great course. As good as many private courses if not better. Add the amazing deal through GN, then it was fantastic.
Greens were in superb condition easily as good as my home course at Close House Northumberland and that is a massive compliment.
Will be playing again!
Excellent course, lovely condition. Greens in great shape, and consistent.
First time
What a great course, very well kept. Such a great place. I honestly couldn't fault it.
Haigh Hall First Time
Upon arriving at Haigh Hall and seeing that we had to pay for parking I wasn't impressed. BUT, once signing in after finding the golf shop (not noticeable tbh) just says Visitor Center on it. We got a ticket that would mean free parking. WINNER!
As for the course, amazing!! Well kept, fairways, tee boxes and greens in amazing condition. Honestly, incredible! Definitely worth the money. Will be back for sure.
Great value
What a bargain £20 each course was in great condition with some interesting holes . Stunning scenery all around and locals were friendly. If we’re ever back this way would play here again.
Only minus would be signage as we got a little lost sometimes .
What a pleasant surprise
I play 2/3 times a week on various courses travelling up to 50 miles. Haigh hall is on my doorstep but rarely used. Needed an early tee and local so I booked. The course was in the best condition I have seen and probably the best I’ve played all year! I have played £100+ rounds this year but for £16 at Haigh hall win win. Good, interesting holes and testing course. Greens outstanding.
First time Haigh Hall
Really nice park land course with great views. Tees, fairways and greens in superb condition. Some of the pin positions were really tough. My only critique was the course lacked signage to the next tee. A few times I couldn’t workout where to go next
Astonishing value
Long and challenging course. Immaculate greens and beautiful scenery. Amazing value and probably one of the best Council run courses around
VFM
Very good value for money. A few dodgy greens but for prices of £10 and £17 (depending on when you play) it’s a good knock
Decent course
Good course!
Greens a little slow but a well laid out course in decent condition!
Decent value at £20
Would definitely play again
Always like playing haigh hall, it’s a municipal so not perfect but great lay out with some great holes..
2nd visit
Played in the winter and tbf course should have been closed plodded on through 9 1st time around and called it a day, played again today different course holes longer and a good challenge for very little money, will definitely play again in the summer
