Hexham Golf Club

Really nice course and facilities however all greens were off and the flags were basically stuck in the fairway. The club were not to blame for work on greens however it was not appropriate to have guests

I used to play Hexham over 30 years ago as it was on the Gas Boards list of clubs for members. Returning yesterday I remembered the way to play each hole but now of course the trees are bigger and wider and there were growth on the banks where the ball used to run off and mostly back to the fairway. Despite this the course is a fair challenge, in great condition and of course showed up the failings with this golfer. I enjoyed the experience as well as my partners, and could easily come back to rekindle our games with the extra knowledge we now have. Good value for money and a top course.

All holes have their own feature, never get bored. In lovely condition, practice putting green fantastic but a bit quicker than the greens. Food looked lovely but the hot beef sandwich was a bit tough.

Best conditioned course I have played in years. Fast, true greens with no pitch marks.

Great layout. Excellent views and a stonking par 3 10th hole.

Lovely views and some really tricky holes. Will definitely be playing it again. 18th is one of the best driving holes I’ve played

Course in great nick as it always is. Golf society played really slowly in front of us spoiled it a little but didn’t detract from the quality of the course

Tee’ed off at 230pm. Guy in pro-shop very friendly and helpful.

Ladies changing rooms clean but don’t forget to ask for a code! There’s a toilet after the 14th too - but again you’ll need the code for this.

Difficult undulating fairways and tricky par 3’s and greens.

Was nice to be able to site outside and have a drink at 630pm afterwards as most club houses are closed by then. Bar staff a little grumpy!

Course was great apart from some ridiculous pin positions which were more like crazy golf, visit was marred by the club captain who was an absolute bell end walking around like he owns the place

We play every sunday and travel anywhere within a good hour drive of Newcastle and have played virtually every course you can and got to admit that Hexham is by far the best course around the area. The course is a true mature parklands course and today the course was in fantastic condition and would advise anyone who looking to play a top course to play here and for all the so call top courses in the area they cant even touch Hexham. Got a great deal of Golf Now so it was even better

Great course with stunning views course was in excellent condition we had a great day rain stayed away and a nice pint outside after the game was great and the birdie on the last was a nice bonus

Best presented course I've played in many years

Smooth tees, perfect, fast greens with no pitchmarks. Bunkers in great condition with no stones.

The views are fantastic.

I paid £15 for my round and had I been charged ten times that I'd still have walked off and said it was great value.

Puts my own club to shame.

Course in very good condition. Interesting holes. Most set out by themselves. Scenic location. A very enjoyable course to play.

Quite simply in my opinion, the best course in the Northeast of England. I'm a member of another course not this one so my review is unbiased.

Every aspect of the course is in great condition and every tee box is a postcard picture.

Will come back again and again its well worth the 50 mile round trip
