Prudhoe Golf Club - Main Course

Course was quiet,got off early,in really good condition for the time of year.thoroghly enjoyed it nice course

A friend and I played here for a bit of change from our normal members course. The Pro in the shop was polite, friendly and very welcoming. The layout was good with some interesting holes and blind tee shots. (I particularly think there should be more bells and the 4th tee shot is quite dangerous as for the 6th you have to cross the 4th fairway to get to the tee box). The 6 holes on the other side of road were quirky and really enjoyable, A lovely little par 3 15th was a great hole. Good condition overall with a couple of ropey bunkers…The downside…We tee’d off 25-30 minutes behind a fourball and we caught them up around the 7th. Oblivious to the fact they were slow and slowing us and a couple behind us they did not let us through. So we were waiting on every shot from then onwards. We were told they were also guests. So some bad etiquette from non-members was the only thing that spoilt the round. Overall the day was great and we’ll be back again soon.

This could be because of the recent droughts, but we’ve had plenty of rain in the last few weeks…

The tee boxes are lumpy, divots everywhere and grass length was very long. The greens on the first 12 holes weren’t cut and were very slow.

Felt like the greens keeper was on holiday.

The course gets better once you cross the road as the holes get a little longer and they played much better, not ideal having greens that vary so much in speed.

Although very dry conditions the course was is good condition.

A long and winding route from our home but it’s well worth the journey. Car park is good. Pro very welcoming and friendly. There’s a well-maintained practice net and practice putting green by the first tee. Fairways are wide and nicely cut. Roughs are not punishing; fairly easy to play your ball in case you missed the fairways. Greens are running true. Course lay out is beautiful with a good mix of par 5s and par 3s. Interesting and challenging but not frustrating. Slightly hilly in few areas but manageable for senior players. Greens staff are friendly and helpful to visitors as well as the lovely lady members who were out on the course. The whole course is in excellent condition—very clean. I would love to play Prudhoe again.

An excellent challenging course, made it great fun

I haven't played this course in about 20 years and the way it's matured through the year is fantastic.

The condition of it and the greens was excellent and the back 9 across the road was just beautiful.

Really enjoyed playing at pruhoe course is great condition a credit to the ground staff

Shorter than most courses but some lovely holes. Gives us lesser mortals a chance to reach the greens in regulation. Course was in great nick on a beautiful sunny day. Greens are deceiving and testing so don't expect an easy round. Really enjoyable and I recommend you play this course even if you have played it before...

I always look at reviews when booking somewhere I’ve never played before so thought this might help someone out who’s the same.

First time here today and very impressed, played solo and got let through about 3 times by locals who were happy to have a chat also.

Greens were fantastic and also fairways. greens are tough! a lot are elevated and quick giving you a real test as I found out multiple times by rolling off the back after thinking if played a nice chip.

All in all a very enjoyable round, definitely recommend

Elevated greens on many holes were difficult, greens themselves very undulating and a bit of crisscrossing of fairways. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the course was in good condition.

Interesting course, tough challenge and pleasant surroundings. Will definitely play again.

The weather finance was dry so booked at very late notice. The folks at Prudhoe were friendly and helpful as always. There had been a lot of rain over the last few weeks, but the course was in great condition. Testament to the wonderful work of the green staff. Nice winter sunshine throughout the round. Absolutely loved it.

Wow, really pleased with the overall conditions of the course today. Well done to all the ground staff for keeping it in such good condition.
