Good course
Honiton is a good course for all levels of player. Some easy holes, some challenging holes. Short and long holes. Lovely scenery and views over hills. Well maintained, although as go into winter leaves and mud come into play.
Great parkland course
Honiton is a lovely parkland course and whilst not the longest there are some great holes. Superb views towards Dartmoor on some holes. Course was in good condition with firm and moderately fast / true greens. Whilst an elevated position it's an easy walk. Very enjoyable round
Discounted round with friend and buggy
Course relatively quiet. Got around in just over 3 hours (2 ball + buggy). Greens showing some wear and disease but not too bad. Otherwise good condition and a very enjoyable round. Good to see clubhouse open. Stopped for coffee (and cake).
Honiton Golf Course July 2020
A very nice round of golf on a course in excellent condition. Light rain a few days before left the fairways and greens in excellent condition. A few holes require accurate play with approach shots but otherwise the fairways are wide enough to be forgiving. Most greens need careful reading of the slopes, something I failed to do! Generally flat and no breath-taking hills to climb, clear distance markers were appreciated. Course wasn't busy and we could play at our own pace.
Worth a visit
Great course, but greens a bit slow , would still highly recommend it
We enjoyed the round very much and would recommend the coarse to others.
The staff were very welcoming
Great day out

enjoyed round of golf.would go back and play again!
course was in decent condition
Friendly & welcoming club
Very friendly & welcoming club. Food of a very good standard. The course was busy when we played, but the speed of play wasn’t too slow. After the 5th hole we were invited to make up a four ball with two local club members, Chris & Larry who couldn’t have been more helpful & welcoming. Made our experience of the course even better & we had a great round of match play. Would definitely recommend a round of golf here & will definitely be visiting again. Finally a very big thank you to the course pro who let us out early so that we didn’t have to play in four ball with two other people who had booked via Tee Time booking under the same tee off time. Very much appreciated despite us ending up in a four ball which was a great way to play the course for our first tine.
A green and pleasant course
I drove the 30 miles from home to play Honiton for the first time and lovely sunny, if a little windy, day in May. It was a good round played on a green, firm and well maintained course. This is a decent course, not great as it is rather flat and the holes rather up and back again. However, three par 3s over 200 yards it had its challenges. The tree lined fairways are often quite narrow so being straight helps but with few obstacles most holes are reasonably routine, but fun all the same. As a first time visitor it was great to see a really well signed posted course; it is really annoying to have to walk backwards and forwards working out where you are going. Great maps on the score card helped as well.
