Horsforth Golf Club

Had a great round at Horseforth. Course in good condition but quite damp in places so not much run in the ball. Its a challenging course but forgiving to those wayward shots.

Great to be so close to the planes landing and taking off but it is noisy on a couple of holes.

Very friendly welcome from the pro. Didn't go into the main club house but the outside seating area looked nicely presented.

Always enjoyed this lovely parkland course. Great layout, great condition and a challenging but not overly punishing layout.

Would definitely recommend a visit!

Great course, first time playing it really enjoyed it, great layout out and well kept (hats of to the grounds staff , nice friendly pro shop chap bar staff were very nice and friendly, good day all round .

Played this excellent though testing course for the third time and each time found it in very good condition the greens were far better than most courses we play,the only thing to say against it was the pace of play,we were unfortunate to encounter two very slow 4 ball groups in front so missed 2 holes out to get past but overall I would recommend Horsforth to anyone wanting a good golfing test

Paid £10 so can’t moan as it was excellent value. Course was very wet and grass long but the weather in Leeds the last 6 months was to blame, no fault of the club.

I love playing Mackenzie courses- but this isn’t the most interesting and at times is a little dull. Some excellent greens (credit to the greenkeeper) but there are several courses in Leeds in this price range better.

A couple of nice par 3s but too many bland par 4s for me

Tough course when the wind blows but it’s very straight forward and open. You wont lose your ball if you miss the fairways. Greens are true and fast. Could do with more sand in the bunkers though but otherwise course is kept in very good condition. Pro very helpful and friendly. Has a very nice modern clubhouse and outside area.

There was heavy rain throughout the day the greens were immaculate, and tee areas. £21 to.play that was 5/5 value for money. Only thing the course didn't have was water on it i.e. water features.

Not great, better off paying more to play one of the other North Leeds courses.

Plane and road noise is an issue.

Many of the holes are very tightly squeezed in. That said there are some very well designed holes.

Autumn conditions kicking in when we played but course still in great condition and the greens were the best we’ve played in a while! Course is a good challenge with some very interesting holes especially the 10th and 18th.

Really friendly guys in the Pro shop made us feel very welcome and nice clubhouse with great chip butty at only £2.50. Will definitely be back. Great for plane spotting as well by the way!
