Poor
Didn't get off to a good start when the guy approaching the first tee as we did , said his tee off time was "" same as ours! Asked if he could join us, to which we said no, turned out he was painfully slow, he went ahead of us, joined the 2 ball ahead, they then left him behind because he was slow, we then played through.
Fairways were ok, but the greens were uneven and very bobbly .
Overall good value fairways well kept the green need watering more often
Golf course what golf course
Car parking is now a problem but this was in half term so should be ok when schools are back. This is due to the new crazy golf course which is very popular and where all the resources have been put.
Cannot really call this a golf course. The greens looked like they had been trampled on by a herd of cattle.
The rough was so long that if you went 1 foot of line you had to be lucky to find it which caused the speed of play to be poor.
I cannot recommend this course but come next year I hope it will have improved.
A great course
Great course but shame about the greens very poor condition.
Poor greens
Only complaint was the state of the greens which are currently very poor. For that reason couldn't recommend at this time.
A good forgiving course
I'd read a few recent reviews complaining of the state of the greens here, so was a little unsure of what to expect. Thankfully they must have recovered as most were in excellent condition even though one or two showed signs of really drying out.
I've played before and the course favours those that draw the ball atleast for the front nine.
The pace of pay was great and the old boys let me play through with minimal cursing.
Would definitely recommend it for its generous fairways and well kept first cuts. Overall a great round.
Atrocious Greens !!!!
Hard to imagine that a course could allow their greens to get in such a bad condition. Would appear that the greens have been over-treated with too much fertilizer and now appear to be beyond repair. Looks as though the new "crazy golf" course in the front is more important and the main priority..
Greens in an awful mess
I have to say I usually enjoy playing at Iford but I don't think I've played anywhere that the greens were so bad.
It's hard to see how they can come back from where they are now.
Was going to play here in May but will definitely try elsewhere, it wouldn't have been bad if we were warned prior to playing.
Greens need work apart from that enjoyed our

Winter Golf
Played this course because it's so reliable when conditions are not great weather wise. It's a simplistic course which is always playable in winter, no temporary greens or tees which is ideal and rare for this time of year. Only £13 on Tee Off Times so great value too!
Good, forgiving course, but pace of play slow
Nice course with wide, forgiving fairways, this does mean it's not the most challenging course for the lower handicappers out there though (sadly, not applicable to me!!).
Course was in good condition generally, however the greens were average. Considering the amount of rain recently the course held up well with only a few holes having surface water on them.
Main grumble, which spoilt the round, was the overall pace of play. Groups in front were not allowing others to play through, which really slowed play down for us and all the groups behind. It's a shame players were not complying with one of golf's most basic etiquette's...maybe a course Marshall is in order reading some of the other reviews??
Great value
Great value and no one around... it's surprisingly testing in the winter and the greens could do with some love but if you want to get out and play cheaply this is a great course for that.
Beginner very happy
Very new to golf and played an absolute amazing round love it ! I'm hooked !
Cold & Frosty
Played late morning once frost had lifted one of the few places open without temporary greens. Some of the greens look like they may have some sort of infection as they were yellow & patchy in places and were slower than normal however this didn't really affect our round.
Course was in good condition considering the time of year. Very overpriced at full green fee played twilight to take advantage of reduce rate. Would definitely recommend to others at this rate.
The one thing they could massively improve on is the management of tee times on the first tee it seems to be a bit of a free for all we were 12.22 and there was 3 groups stood on the tee and 2 guys that has obviously done the back 9 first telling us they had priority to play through us which i found a bit rude. When we did eventually try to tee off a group came down and said they were 12.15 so were in front of us nevertheless we gave up and did the back 9 first. It is a real negative and puts me off playing at this course during busier times and summer months. I would like to see the course implement some plan in the coming months to stop this happening and marshall slow play as i always get held up and never let play through. If these issues were resolved i would be more inclined to join as a member.
Great course
Very nice course. Played the day after very heavy rain and the course held out very well. Would definitely recommend to any

Usually in pretty good condition the course but on this occasion the greens very bobbly and some tee boxes in very poor condition but usually pretty good course for the money you pay
Great value for money
I've played the bridge course at playgolf Bournemouth numerous times and like the course a lot. It's not the most difficult or spectacular course, but it does have some good variation and is fun for all handicaps. At £11 for a hot deal on teeofftimes I really can't complain, it's very good value.
The course also has a big driving range - probably the best in the local area - and a nice cafe serving a good selection of food and drinks. My only complaints would be that a few of the electronic driving bays are faulty, and some of the rough could do with being a bit shorter. It's frustrating and slows down play when a very slightly mishit tee shot gets lost in thick rough.
