Brilliant course
I play this course 6 times a month excellent value brilliant
Friendly
Not played for a long time really enjoyed this course everyone was really friendly would definitely recommend it was a long way round but level and flat so not a problem
Such potential
The course has such potential, the space the layout, the greens were in great shape especially as I was comparing them to some other expensive courses I’ve played at this year already, very welcoming staff, the clubhouse was lovely and for £18 on a Saturday afternoon I thought you couldn’t go wrong,
The let down….
Chav kids riding round on E-Scooters, and mini motorbikes, going over the greens at one end of the course and using the tee boxes and bunkers as ramps as different golfers tried to play through. I saw this group of kids even take a stray golf ball.
Didn’t realise how many public footpaths seem to surround or even cross the course, seemingly walkers everywhere with dogs, one chap had his dog sniffing balls out of the rough before depositing them in a bag he had with him, thankfully we got to our ball before the dog & owner did as it appeared as if they had spotted it and were heading towards it.
I appreciate that you would have a hard time of managing this time of outside interference, but it sadly made for a distracting afternoon.
Going back to the golf the fairways were nice, if you put a ball in the rough you had a very hard time finding it, and the sand in the bunkers made it very difficult to hit a ball out of, but the fairways, tee’s, greens were all good.

Got to the course early booked through golf now .want busy so got straight into it .really enjoyed the course there working on the greens so it will be lovely when there sorted .. only gripe really there wasn't any rakes for the bunkers .but on the whole had a cracking day .thankyou
Nice course to learn on.
A forgiving course where it's difficult to lose your ball.
Fairways are wide and tree-lined, with little or no long grass.
Greens are patchy, no doubt due to the excessive course use, and limited infrastructure. The sole groundsman watering the green from a hose-pipe.
Main issue is public wandering around the course. Not on the footpaths, but anywhere they feel like walking. As we approached the 8th green, there was a man with his toddler son, running around the green, playing with the flag which they had removed from the hole.
The odd youth on a stolen motorcycle tearing across the fairways can liven up your round !
Get a buggy it's a long 1
Great course to unleash the driver,as fairways are wide.Holes are long and greens where very hard and dry ,but can't grumble for 15 quid for 18 holes.
Hard greens
Lovely course played here a few times now only thing was how hard the greens were to a lack of water but I did get told there was problem with the water system which was getting sorted other than that can’t complain value for money and lovely staff 👍🏻
Great round again...dog walkers are a nuisance
I have played this course a few times now and conditions wise ,it's getting better as the season starts. Greens were generally good, and a decent pace, tees are a bit bare in spots but noajor issue.
The course is already dry, and it ls only early April...
Played as a 1ball and took me just over 3 hours, the course was very quietfor a Saturday afternoon with many golfers coming off after 9
Dog walkers are an issue, even had a group of them having a chat in the middle of a par 5 fairway when I waited to play my shot..they seem to have no understanding of how dangerous it can be. If it hasn't happened already, someone will get struck by a ball
If I played it every week I would have to invest in some kind of insurance!!!!
Other than that, another good round at this course...
Great value, reasonable condition but watch out for dog walkers
Course in reasonable condition, greens were spiked and fast. Decent layout with good flow. Bunkers in poor condition with inadequate sand. Good pace, aside from back nine where almost ever hole had a dog walker in play. Pro shop not open but bar staff very friendly.
First time at the course
It was the first time playing the course, I really didn't know what to expect. I was really pleased and suprised with how dry and form the course was, you could have gone round in a pair of slippers!!!. Greens were quite quick for the time of year. Generally in good condition, a couple of greens need a bit of tlc due to historical damage or thinning areas.
Course layout is good with a variety of hole layouts. A few ' Blind shots so next time I will be better prepared.
Pro shop staff friendly and a warm welcome. Course was busy which is great to see in early March.
Will be playing again there very soon.
Had a great round here when other courses were struggling to open all tees and greens fair play to the green staff for keeping on top of the course. Will certainly be back.
Well worth a wack
Been back to kilton around 6 times now and have booked it for our golf society, lovely course amazing friendly staff will definitely be back again soon.
As a whole in Good Condition for the time of year (01.02.2025)
Overall the course was fairly dry and most fairways and roughs were in good conditions. The ball did run a bit which was good to see. The greens were fine but most were very firm and some had bare mud in parts.
