To say how much rain we have had in the area the course was in fantastic condition we play here regularly first one of the year thanks kilton brilliant as ever 👍👍👍⛳️⛳️
Very slow - seems people just jump on
Unfortunately didn’t get time for a full 18 after teeing off at 11.52 before we had to leave as light was getting low.
There were 2 other separate groups on the first tee waiting to tee off at 11.50 which meant we teed off late then with at least 3 other groups queuing behind us.
Had to wait on every tee box for group in front to tee off then had one or two behind waiting for us on every tee.
Not great
Very poor
Very poor course which is not the fault of whoever owns/runs it it’s the fault of mindless vandles who keep ruining the greens with motorbikes think it’s time to close because the council won’t invest to stop the vandalism not fair on the members or fee paying guests
Great course
Great value for money but the dog walkers are a pain.
Good value. Bad greens.
First time playing at Kilton Forest. Nice wide fairways on every hole so very well suited to me as a high handicap golfer. Unfortunately the greens were easily the worst I've putted on, they needed cutting and rolling. They were muddy and looked like they had just been brushed as the mud was spread in lines. I understand the weather hasn't been great but they shouldn't be as bad as they were. The practice area is OK but no flags in any of the holes on the practice green was a bit shoddy. All that being said I really enjoyed the round and I'm sure the greens will be better moving into next spring/summer. £15 on a hot deal and a tenner each for me and my mate for a buggy. £25 all in is excellent value. I would return.
Golf round
Played kilton for the first time and found the course in good condition will definitely go back soon
Friendliest place around . Great people
Kilton is a great little course to play . Challenging but very fair.
Of course the real strength, is due to the ground make up,it always plays well whatever the weather . Not pristine fairways but always off grass tees and rarely see temps
Really important though:
Despite not being members we are always made to feel welcome by everyone . Great staff wherever you are who seem genuinely pleased to see you and friendly members too. .
The Greens
This course is local to me and although I'm not a member I do play it regularly. The thing that puts me off becoming a member is the state of the greens, when I played on the 22nd I was informed that their mower is broken and therefore they haven't been able to cut the greens, combine this with the amount of worm soil on the surface it made putting a complete lottery, such a shame!
Lovely little course
Played here for the first time. Nice course super friendly staff
Cheap round of golf on a well maintained course.
Tees , greens need some improvement but overall ok.
Fairways are as good as some top courses and are well kept.
Bunkers need raking more frequently and a rake left in them would be good.
If you are on a budget or just want to stretch your legs then Kilton is ideal.
Excellent value
Excellent golf course for the price, worth every penny.
Great value
Really good course for the price
Not too difficult so you don’t spend all day looking for balls
Nice relaxing round
A decent course
A decent free draining golf course with a variety of fairways, played both winter and summer only gripe is the wind can get quite troublesome otherwise a good day out.
Good for money
Considering it was £16 for 18 holes wasn’t expecting much, but good value really, ok bunkers could have done with some sand and some of greens weren’t the greatest but all say and done would revisit
Definitely worth the money
Great course, fantastic layout. Greens are in excellent condition and run true and consistent. Staff were friendly and welcoming with a nice bar for a drink after. The practice area is one of the better ones we've seen too, putting greens, chipping areas, driving nets and a short driving range.
Our only gripe was the bunkers, they were like playing from concrete, full of stones and even a large rock that was hiding under my ball and a thin layer of dirt that took a chunk out of my 60 degree. Sadly this isn't the hot weather there's just no sand in them and they desperately need some attention.
But don't let that distract that for this price you won't find a better course in the area.
