Greens very slow. Tee times to close to each other causes big bunching up
Marland golf course
The course was not in a very good condition, the fairways were ok, the greens were very slow and the tees were terrible. The markers had not been move, no grass on the tee box and covered in mud.
Municipal Course
Speed of play was awful. A group of 3 in front of 4 groups didn’t let anyone pass all round. A couple of people behind walked off after 9 as play was so slow.
Condition of the course was as poor as I have seen. The fairways need cutting and hopefully next time they pick up the grass cuttings. Many of the greens in bad state and fairways with big areas of GIR but no signage.
Cheapish at £20 but won’t rush back.
Poor fairways
I know there’s been a lot of rain over winter but the fairways were like the rough, hitting balls straight down the middle but still took ages to locate them even from a few feet away especially on the back 9. A lot of hidden greens so as a beginner struggled at times to know where the green was, and as most of the signs are missing from the tea boxes had no clue actually what club to hit.
