Never Disappoints
With the rain we have had the course played great. Greens were amazing and the fairways in great condition. A few wet areas but that is to be expected.
Great greens.
Great greens and tees. What let the course down was the wetness of the fairways and rough absolutely sodden, so much so spent ages looking for plugged balls. It has been wet but still expected better considering the quality of tees and greens. Will be back when its dry to have another go though.
Marriott Worsley Park
Despite the wind and rain the course was in immaculate condition from tee to green (which were huge), really enjoyable round of golf
Brilliant Course
Attractive course with some of the most interesting and well kept greens in the North West. Lovely in summer however after a few days of rain it can be easy for your ball to plug and vanish if you miss the fairway by even a couple of feet. No issues with pace of play. There’s a great pub (Worsley Old Hall) next door which can also be accessed from the 11th hole - highly recommended for post round food & a pint.
Great course, just terrible weather
Cants fault the course or staff, we just had bad luck with the weather, made the few groups ahead slow down so was kept waiting.
Was a member here when first opened
Now a mature course in great condition with fair challenge to all golfers
Slow pace with four balls in front being v slow
Perhaps marshal should encourage speed up or play through
Pity only offering food from main hotel bar as not enough time to eat before playing at 12 and when got yo halfway house only had dried up sausage rolls left !
Bit pricey at £55 round in comparison to other courses around but a good course
Course in excellent condition and enjoyed playing. Very good
Lovely Round
After the recent lockdown being lifted, it is absolutely brilliant to get back out playing. Despite a slight hold up with groups Infront the round was absolutely excellent with perfect weather conditions. Brilliant round and would thoroughly recommend as well as want to play again!
Not for winter
Greens were incredible but that is probably the only positive I have.
The fairways look In good shape but the recent rain means every ball is hit with some standing water
Off the fairways it's like a farmers field, bring plenty of balls as if you're 1yard offline and not in the fairway it's plugged and near impossible to find, disappointing for the price paid but I guess they can't help the weather
Great Course
Driving into the impressive Marriott Golf & Country club you immediately get a sense of t what you can expect on the course. The modern course layout is a great test of golf with lots of hazards including water, large bunkers protecting greens, and dog legs on many holes to challenge long drivers.
The greens were a little slower than I’ve experienced in the past at the Marriott but they still require a lot of skill due to the underrating slopes that are great fun to play on.
