Great conditions for this time of year.
The course was playable unlike many that have been closed due to the recent rain. The greens were good apart from the first which had recently been dried by blowing air under the surface. A few of the air pockets had not settled so the path of the ball was diverted. Other than that the course played well. The bunkers were well raked some had new sand in and some were GUR.
Great course
Day out with son🏌️⛳, great course and good value at GN. Green run fast at this time of the year and good draining, no temporary tee or green, highly recommend 🏌️⛳👍.
GN deal
Course in good nick
Good deal from GN £20 each
£38 for a buggy from the welcombe
That’s why we carried
Need to look at course & club house prices.
Too slow
We stood waiting on every tee box . At one point there was 3 groups waiting on the 12th
All bunkers are GUR
Over 4 hours to play 15 holes and walked off as we’re at the closest point to the clubhouse before the 18 as we’d not finish before it got dark
Superb course
The course layout is great with some holes that require thought. Also considering the amount of rain we’ve had and other local courses being closed the fairways and greens were not soggy at all. They must have great drainage.
A great round, all round.
Played here on 19th Sept … first time. Fairways and greens beautifully prepared (greens very fast!). A good course for both seasoned players and first-timers … some testing holes and challenges. Pace of play very good. All round a great experience - will certainly play here again.
Great course - poor pace of play
6 hour round on a Saturday afternoon! Club not interested at all in any complaint regards to this pace of play and marshalling
Great day out
Beautiful course, quite hilly, lots of variety, well kept, nice greens. A good test. Rough not too rough(spent some time there). Tricky par 3's. Overall a good test in a lovely setting
Fri afternoon two ball
The course is well worth playing very varied holes
Seems to be well maintained generally great value for money
But there is always a but!! When we played very recently a Friday afternoon we were waiting on every tee either the tee times are too close together or pace of play was very slow gave up after fifteeth hole as i thought won't be finished before dark at this rate
Shame as it's a good challenge and enjoyable lets say pros and cons

Great course
Super course. Played while up from the south coast visiting the belfry for the masters.
The course is fantastic, great lay out.
Course was lovely - buggy price was not
Was a very interesting course, good facilities and decent pro shop. driving range, chipping and putting green but £38 for a buggy is absolutely bonkers. Nearly double the green fee. appreciate you can split it but not the point.
Everything else was fantastic. very tough course and very hilly.
Nice course
I enjoyed the Welcome, some interesting holes and varying difficulty.
Slow
Very slow massive society not worth the money , only played 9 holes , then had to find our way back to the car (9th hole dosnt end by the club house . Very sad 😔
Very slow play
Vey slow play had a very large society playing in front, they had over booked the course as we had to wait on every shot, only played 9 holes and that was a joke, the 9th was on the other side of the course no were near the club house .
Busy busy busy
I have never seen so many golfers on one course at one time. There were 7 people on the first tee box that I had to wait for even though I turned up to my tee time on time. I played as a single and yes, the fact people were letting me play through was nice but by the 9th hole I'd played through 8 groups (every single one a 4 ball). Don't get me wrong I don't want to be held up, but when you're turning up to every tee box and there's a new 4 ball there, it gets a bit ridiculous. I felt like I massively rushed the front 9 as I was playing through on every hole and rushing to get past the group letting me through. The course is advertised as 5.8k yards but I strongly believe that's not true. By the end of my round I'd walked 8.7k yards. Some holes seemed massively longer than what the sign on the tee box said. The 16th is a par 5 and says 497 yards from the white but it was more like 650-700 yards. The course is extremely hilly so be ready for a full blown hike while playing golf.
