Mytton Fold Golf Club

Like this course but is a good walk, as its up and down. played for the second time and was just as good. Some great views.

First time at course, played at 2pm so wasfairly quiet and got round in 3 hrs on my own, course is set on a hill,with some quite brutal ascents, some big out of bounds on a few holes, but most holes are quite forgiving if going off line, lots of golf buggies available, which is understandable with nature of course, £26 to hire, fit 2 people, clubhouse currently got offer on of £54 for 2 people for 2 rounds with buggy, best to ring up first.

Course was very well playable after the heavy rain from the days before. Some really great holes. Staff was extremely friendly.

I have booked my second round immediately.

Staff, members and green-staff very helpful and so welcoming.

Course bit muddy underfoot but we played off mats and full greens on most holes. Two holes not in play but we played 1&2 twice.

Didn’t visit hotel so not able to comment on food/drinks options.

We’d love to go back in spring/summer

Staff were really friendly and helpful, buggy was great. It was a Monday afternoon so hardly anyone on the course, pace of play not an issue.

The course does look tired. The greens are in need of some serious TLC, and the tee beds are battered, chunks out of them everywhere, but this is more down to players I guess.

Lovely course with great views. Lots of small greens which makes attacking the pin difficult. The only downside was the lumpy tee boxes.

Never played here before. We enjoyed the golf although it was our first round back since lockdown. Some great holes that make you think about club selection. I would definitely play here again but next time I’d book buggies because it is quite hilly!
