I have played this course on numerous occasions, but not for a while, having played it yesterday I noticed some nice upgrades to the course such as ponds with fountain them. New water traps round greens ect , keep up the good work Baxenden
First Sunny Day…!
First bonus was that I had the course to myself…!
So artificial Ts on most of the 9 holes, obvious instructions on the first requesting the use of mats on the fairway (no problem) etc but the temp winter holes erm not a fan but understandable.
Sun came out so for £15 can’t complain too much and from experience, it’s a good little course in the summer…. No staff on that I saw and club was closed so can’t score for after match hospitality…

Rude staff questioning why I was there and telling me members was moaning because there was a seniors competition on. DONT TAKE BOOKINGS THEN. I was playing at a quick pace as I was in my own

Another Go
Decided on a quick 9 holes of this hidden course, played a few weeks ago and the course is definitely in a better shape and not busy. Course is fairly simple to follow but cannot comment on the after round libation as nothing was open. Never mind has a good peaceful round which is all that matters.
Amazing greens
Great condition, well designed, hard to lose balls. Will definitely be back!

first time playing this course
my name is Mike Houghton , myself and 2 friends played here on 14-08-24. and i must say i was very impressed with the course which was in first class condition. none of us had played here before, its the best 9 hole we have all played on. the people playing were very friendly , the only thing our party found lacking was bins around the course to put our rubbish in and no access to toilets , put that didnt put any of us off. and will be returning there next week for myself i will be coming to Baxenden when ever i get a chance we all really enjoyed our day there
We found a gem
Very surprised as we accessed the course via a bumpy track to find a beautifully kept course with stunning views. We shall certainly visit again.
