Great round, long and testing course with great greens

We arrived at the course only to be told our tee time had not been booked by Golf Now. Fortunately the gent in the Pros Shop looked at my confirmation and managed to slot us in to play. Golf Now needs to check it’s systems

We really enjoyed playing here. The course is in great condition for the time of year. The staff were really nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Can’t fault anything about thie coarse absolutely superb

Ripon City golf course is one of those courses that is just fun to play - quirky, difficult in places, visually beautiful, and in great condition. My second time playing it, and it was a good as my first. The first 9 takes you into some extreme landscape with a couple of holes needing tee shots over a deep gully that cuts across other holes as a severe slope, making fairways roller coaster like, so you need to be fit. The back nine is more parkland with some great little water hazards to avoid. The short par 3, 14th has you flying water to the green from a tee box just beneath the club house patio, with all the extra pressure that creates. Quite a lot of fairway bunkers are there to catch the 230 - 250 yard drive so accuracy off the tee is a must. The greens were in great condition, pretty fast and true. The layout means that, with a drink on the patio after the round you can see lots of golf, which is a great way to end the day. I will never get tired of this course.

Played today 2 ball £21 each, club secretary came to talk to us on the putting green and advised us about the course layout. Very friendly welcome in the pro shop and also the bar afterwards. I can honestly say it’s the best kept course I’ve played in the last few years. No fault with anything today barring a few showers but the course more than made up for it. I am already looking to see when I can get back again. If you’re looking for a course you’ll do well to find better.

Nice to play a course where where you're not faced with 400 yard +par 4's all the time, excellent condition

Course in excellent condition particularly the greens. The hardest holes are in the first nine. Revines to hit over. Second half are parkland. Tough but enjoyable.

As a party of 4, we were made to feel very welcome by Craig, who suggested we wait an hour to let the rainy conditions abate. The course was in super condition and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ripon. We will definitely be returning here. One of the best golf courses I’ve played

The course was in fantastic condition with greens running very true and quickly. They were the best greens i have played this year apart from Rockcliffe Hall. Young gentlemen in the pro shop very friendly. Interesting mix of holes which require different shots and thinking about game, not a whack it find it course.
