Masham Golf Club

Made feel very welcomed as soon as I arrived. Mr Chairman introduced himself and his team and told me about the conditions of the course. Introduced me to Gill who kindly took the time to talk about the Club and membership opportunities without being too pushy.

The course was exceptionally well looked after by the team of green keepers.

For a 9 hole course it had a good selection of interesting holes. The greens were in good condition

We booked our t time and arrived in plenty of time, unfortunately some members who were behind us felt it appropriate to keep asking us what time our t time was and putting us under a lot of pressure, we were being held up by people in front and we were wanting to allow them adequate time to play their holes but we seemed to catch the brunt of the delays, we felt very unwelcome and unwanted which was a real shame surely not representative of the golf club.

First time playing and there wasn’t really anyone round which was a shame as the clubhouse and seating area looked very nice. The course was exceptionally pretty, well laid out and diverse for a 9 hole course. The shared fairway isn’t really an issue and certainly doesn’t take away from the courses enjoyment.

Really enjoyed the round. Friendly staff and relatively quiet meant we could play at our own pace and enjoy the surroundings. Greens in particular were in great condition.

Accepting that we played on a damp Saturday morning in January the place felt abandoned.

A 9-Hole course in lovely settings.

I think the green keepers must still be on Christmas holidays.

No Tee's in use - not unexpected in January but Mats uneven, where temp tees were used like setting up on a playing field.

Temp Greens, again to be expected but no effort whatsoever to prepare anything, like putting on the fairway.

Disappointed as played this a few times last summer / autumn and enjoyed the course - was thinking of joining as a member but having second thoughts now.

Felt it was overpriced for 9 holes in winter £35 for x 2 players, my son joined us on Saturday morning and paid £20 for 9 holes on the day.

Would have been better heading to the range.

Club house was ok, lady in the bar was nice enough, no one in the club shop.

Picturesque 9 hole golf course, friendly reception, 2nd hole off the new back tees quite spectacular!

Best avoided in winter unless very dry

9 hole course in great condition despite a lack of rain recently. Green where in excellent condition. Friendly staff.

A very enjoyable round of golf course well maintained

I was amazed with the condition of the course from tee to green. The staff were great & gave me the best bacon buttie I've had for ages.

Course was in great condition for this time of year , the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will return when next in this area
