Rufford Park Golf & Country Club

Played here many times over the years and it hasn’t changed much. Course in great condition and the bits that wasn’t you could see they were working on it. Good value for money, friendly staff,decent range, it’s no wonder I end up playing here every year.

Golf course in good condition will definitely play it again in the near future

Very nice course not particularly trying but still enjoyable

The course was great but the speed of play was bad due to 4 balls greatly outweighing 2 balls moving much faster.

If some kind of marshal control at the first T was employed it may ensure start times are controlled better, it will certainly make us think twice about coming back.

Took my son for the first time as I no this is a great course for beginners.. good fairways and good greens for time of year and considering the rain we’ve had .. only played 12 holes due to time of year and getting dark.. we had a great time .. only set back was a four ball in front.. they tee off at 13-05 and we tee off at 13-36 after two holes we was behind them and would not let us play through.. sad really .. if they’re let us play through we might have made the 18 holes and got to play the 17th which is a brilliant par 3 over water .. but never mind .. great course in great condition .. big thumbs up

No temps in mid December and greens in lovely condition considering. This course is always a joy to play right from arrival. The staff are always friendly and willing to discuss golf and the course which some other courses lack. Pace of play was slightly slower than usual as it was seniors day which meant we had guys behind us being frustrating, but we still thoroughly enjoyed the course and day. Will definitely return as at £20 it’s a bargain !

Weather conditions were really bad which made the course a real mud bath. The greens where sodden, I’ve played Rufford many times, and it’s never been this bad.

For December the course in good nick, the greens in particular were excellent. Didn't use clubhouse so can't rate it.

Excellent course. Only issue was slow play by the group ahead.

On for a potential best ever round up until hole 9, but from there to end my game went dramatically down hill and left enough skid marks to give professional cleaners nightmares. Whilst preparing for shot 3 on 9, my trolley very nearly rolled/ran away from me as a result of me forgetting to apply the breaks, and although I managed to prevent this, I was aware of a bunch of people outside the clubhouse very loudly laughing, which put me off as I was paranoid that they were laughing at me for my trolley error, although I’m sure this wasn’t the case. Back 9 was mixed, but more bad shots than good, and as always so far during my 2 visits to Rufford...Absolute Nighmares on 16 and 17. But despite my frustrating incompetence, overall it’s a very good challenge on a quality course for a reasonable price, and that’s why I will keep coming back for more rounds and challenges.
