Great Stuff
Really nice round of Golf. Slight step up in challenge for me as a newbie, but enjoyed it. Nice to see the Bar nice and busy (outside) after the round as well! Definitely worth the money!
Course has Improved
Played here today and enjoyed my round, not held up once, conditions were nice, and staff very friendly, i do just want to say i played here a year or two ago n the greens we're shocking and this is my first round since due to that, but ive got to say the greens were in excellent condition, soft and spongey and ran true so glad they have got that sorted because Scalm is a nice course if you just want a steady round with some testing holes, the only thing i would say is the 3rd hole needs sign posting better as you have to come back on yourself and round a corner from the 2nd which i'd forgotten.
All in all decent course but would'nt pay no more than £20 for a round here.
Scalm Park
Tee'd off a 1pm on a Saturday speed of play was great, 2 Ball never held up once round lasted 3h 20 for 18 holes, odd green was a bit bare, overall very good and recommend
Interesting find, would play again
Tried this course as tee times were hard to get hold of with golf just emerging from the lockdown. On arrival it does look a bit strange and like a caravan camp, but then you find the golf facilities and driving range and all becomes clear. The course is very quirky right from the off and you’ll find some really interesting holes on this course, which seems relatively new. Small greens and loads of OOB make it a challenge for most golfers. Was it really good condition throughout and for £13.50 a bargain. Worth a look if it’s close by, but not worth a special visit after a long drive, if that makes sense.
First Round After Lockdown
First time playing here, fairly eay course on first glance however lots of OB and water. Not for the wayward hitters (like me) a few of the holes are a bit plain and some are really interesting. Will definitely play here again freindly club. Cant comment on the facilities as they were still closed. Great valur for money.
Five holes closed due to surface water, that's understandable due to previous weather. but to charge full summer rates in these conditions is not fair with a third of coarse not available
Good winter course
We played Saturday as a 2 ball, course was in good condition some places holding water but it had rained. For the previous 2 days, the winter tees could have been better but overall a good course
Good all-rounder.
Nice flat course with a varied selection of holes, including a couple of testing water hazards. We'll maintained with fair rough and good greens.
Part of mobile home and fishing complex.
A really pleasant surprise
The course was in the best condition I've ever seen it. The fairways were lush and beautifully cut and the greens a little slow but once I got the pace really true. The weather couldn't have been better making it one of the most enjoyable rounds we've had this year.
Scalm park
Lovely course, not too daunting, with a varied selection of holes and challenges. Generally we'll kept and good greens.
A 3 wood course
Way to short to be any fun. Lost well hit balls that wondered into the first cut off hard fairways as the grass was too long. Greens like treacle. Unless you’re a beginner avoid. 3 wood, wedge for the par 4s. All but one par 3 120yds.
