Ok
Booked to play as 1 golfer but golf now put me with strangers and that i wasnt happy with
4 hours for a two ball!!
Course was lovely, the staff were lovely, greens fantastic, but we were stuck behind 2 four balls from the 5th hole, not one of them let us through and not one person acknowledged we were there, when we got to them on tee boxes they ignored us never even looked at us. I know that’s not the clubs fault but it ruined our round.
Friendly and welcoming
The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and approachable as well as staff giving lessons on the putting green to some less fortunate people which warmed the heart and at the same time didn’t affect our warm up on the putting green. The course was flat and not too long but nearly every hole made you thing about how to play the hole. I haven’t played an 18 hole course before that I had to think about pulling the big stick out on a par 4/5. Each hole had a level of difficulty which made for a great game. The green were faultless with a lovely true role and many with some big undulating contours. It is not a big bucks course and accepts all levels of golfer. I will definitely be back there soon. Thanks to all for making the visit such an enjoyable one.
Enjoyable round
The course was in excellent condition, not least the greens. Praise is due to all the groundsmen and greenkeeper for their efforts.
Overall Very Good.
A nice course in very good condition, challenging without being ridiculous. Very helpful staff. All in all excellent
Gem of a course
Played this course with my wife after a weekend at Oulton Hall.....what a difference....beautiful course immaculately maintained, put Oulton Hall to shame.....well recommended
Okay course - aggressive member
The course was okay, most holes pretty waterlogged due to weather. We had played this course before and always thought the members and staff were fairly rude for a pretty average course at best. Greens were terrible and bunkers GUR. During our latest round we again found the staff quite rude but also encountered an extremely aggressive member. My playing partner almost hit the member with a ball after shouting fore very loudly, he went to apologise to the member who then aggressively threatened him and myself whilst shouting at us very loudly. As fairly good and regular golfers we were shocked by his behaviour and this has only further soured our opinion of this course. Wouldn’t recommend, the staff and members seem to have a bit of a delusional opinion of the place as it is an average course at best we aren’t playing Augusta here - my advice, calm down and understand the market.
Enjoyable round
First time I’ve played this course. It was in excellent condition, fairways well cut and the greens were playing fast and true. Even the bunkers were well playable, which has been a rarity at other courses with the recent wet May weather.
Will definitely return, particularly on a GolfNow hot deal of £16 p/p.
I didn’t use any of the club facilities, so can’t comment on that. Looked sound enough though.

Little boggy following heavy rain but still a wonderful course
Last time we played here the weather was excellent and the course seemed amazing, this time there had been heavy rain the night before which affected the grounds of the fairway and rough but still an excellent course. Greens were still perfect and well maintained.
Definitely will be returning to one of the best courses in Yorkshire.
Great course
The course was in surprisingly good condition after the thunderstorm s and associated down pours the previous evening. A little standing water in the bunkers but that can be forgiven.
The course is relatively flat and fairways generous so suitably forgiving for the average golfer who has the odd stray shot.
The greens needed a little work but if they get them sorted it would get 5 stars . We will be back.
Great course
Had a great time .Very good playing conditions. Would book again without any hesitation
