The course layout. Photo submitted by arc1886 on 09/19/2021
Great coastal views.
Great little course. Lovely back nine overlooking the coast. Excellent greens very quick but true. Very enjoyable. Staff very friendly.
Great coarse
Such a lovely back nine with some great par threes. Staff are really friendly.
Some great holes but when the wind blows............
Played as a two ball at 3.00pm. Warm welcome in lovely clubhouse. Course in the main is on the cliffs and when the wind blows as it did for our round its quite a challenge. The downside is that the fairways to holes 2,9,17 and 18 are virtually one fairway in very poor condition . Holes 3 to 8 are in a field over a road and are quite squeezed in but ok. The real test comes on holes 10 to 16. These are out on the cliffs and a real test. Hole15 a short par 3 over the beach is great. Great views to Farne Islands and Bamburgh. Greens in good condition as were the tees and fairways apart from those mentioned above.. Probably wouldn't choose to play again as other course to try locally but if in the area the would say give it a go.
Great links course
We had a warm welcome lovely breakfast then sunshine for a good round of golf, the perfect day.
Just perfect ...
Great weather and great golf.
Went at our own pace as no one in front or behind.
A good wind made holes testing ,especially on the more exposed 13,14,15,16 holes which meant accurate clubbing essential.
Played four days in a row in all weather and had a thoroughly enjoyable week-thanks seahouses we will be back in October!
Great course for all abilities.
Son and I played and loved the course, scenery and the short par 3’s.
They have a green tee which is is ahead of the reds for youngsters which was perfect for a beginner and great to build their confidence .
Stay here every year and first time the golf clubs have come with us -definately not the last.
Thanks for a great few days.
Excellent course condition greens brilliant
Played at 10:30 in the morning and had course to ourselves. Greens were excellent condition, true with great pace for beginning of April.
Rest of course in good condition.
Everyone friendly; members and staff alike.
Course is fun to play as it’s not long although you need to be aware of red flags out and yellow in!
Stayed at Links Hotel, great food. We broke our journey down from Scotland, well worth doing.
Short distance but a good test & stunning views on a fine day
Very enjoyable course with some particularly testing & memorable holes ion second 9. Staff & locals all very friendly, thanks for an enjoyable day
Great little course lots of tricky holes,Had a lot of fun,
Playing it again tomorrow,would recommend
Plenty to enjoy with this course
First time playing this course and not the last. Made to feel welcome in the clubhouse. Lovely coffee and butty to set us up for the round and good value for money. I rarely play links golf but thoroughly enjoyed this course with plenty quirky holes. Loved the challenge of the short par three 10th and 15th. Not often you can hit a shot over the Notth Sea!
Overall very satisfied with the trip and made me want to go back for more.
Seahouses
Stunning views and a few great holes!
Short links layout, we played at a very leisurely pace and were around in 3 hours. A couple of groups let us through which was nice. Greens were in great condition and the fairways were fast running.
Excellent and playable
We played here last year and really enjoyed it so a return trip was arranged. The dry weather had made the fairways very dry and hard but in spite of this we had a great round. The course isnot over difficult but provides a reasonable test of golf. The greens were medium/fast and ran true.. A few testing holes - 5, 10 & 15. Very enjoyable.
Lovely course in great Northumbrian coastal setting
Lovely course in great setting especially with the back nine against a back drop of the Northumbrian coastline. The greens were in very good condition and although not the longest course many of the holes were an interesting challenge.
A beautiful cliff course
The clubhouse is mainly just a bar/cafe and the professional doesn't look to be there very often. There is also a good putting green and practice net near the car park. The first two holes are near the cliffs and then you go over the road to play 6 holes, these are nice holes with meandering streams and ponds. The rest of the holes are played by the cliffs, with beautiful views across the coast with multiple opportunities to hit one into the North Sea. The feature hole is the 10th where you have to play your shot all the way across a beautiful lake (coastal inlet). Overall a lovely short course and cheaper than nearby Dunstanburgh/ Bamburgh
