Silverdale 24
Although the course was in relatively good condition we were surprised how hilly the course was.
And,, I don’t mean rambling hills, I mean serious climbs, especially for the elderly or people with mobility issues.
Buggies are available, but limited. So book as early as possible.
The course is in good condition, with very fast greens.
Some blind holes make the course difficult in some places.
Didn’t sample the club house as it was closed when we finished.
Would I play again, probably not.
Great as always
Played Silverdale many times always provides a challenge. Course in great condition greens running true and fast. If in the area should make the effort to play here
A course of two halves
Playing the first nine holes the four of us were very impressed with the layout and condition of the course.
The greens however, although in good condition, were almost impossible to read. Even though we were not managing to sink putts we had enjoyed the first nine holes and would have been happy to return.
We were not happy with the second nine. 13th hole impossible and several others not player friendly.
The club offers 11 hole membership. It's patently obvious why.
Very tough
Beautiful course with fantastic scenery, it's quite a hike around so you need to be fairly fit. I have played the course many times & i love it but even when i have played well, i have never carded a good score, it's a bit of a beast. I can't think of another course quite like it but i will definately be going back.
silverdale course a gem
this is a great track with so many quirky holes (not easy walking hilly course)
some of the holes make you think about your shots great course with open top buggies as a small tunnel to navigate
Gem of a course
Great course
Fantastic course. Great layout, especially the back 9. Very friendly staff and other players.
Course in great condition especially the greens. Would definitely play again
Great course
Very nice course overall. Layout different between front and back 9. Some quirky but tough holes. Course and fairways well kept.......greens especially good.
Staff friendly as were folk I spoke with on the course.
Definitely one to visit
Played silverdale while travelling onto morecambe, course in good condition, with great signage to find your way around, back 9 is a bit up and down with some great holes on limestone rocky inclines, with good views of surrounding area., course well worth playing. Lovely clubhouse.
Hidden Gem!
Can’t recommend this course enough. Great variety of holes and course is good condition. Wonderful value for money too, friendly staff and lovely food.
