Great course
The course was in excellent condition, in particular the greens were amongst the best I have seen anywhere. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. I will definitely play here when visiting the area again.
Challenging
Lovely course. Challenging and not a lot of space for an errant shot but rewarding when you get it right. The plateau ( 13th ) is very unusual and worth the visit just to see it. Great day and going back next week to try and play it better.
Fabulous challenge
Have been to this course on a number of occasions ; rain or shine. It never disappoints on how difficult some of the holes are but equally how beautiful the surroundings are.
Fun course
Played for the first time - it’s a long walk between holes especially when you don’t know where you are going - some really fun holes - no real length to it but you have to think your way around which is good for testing course management and short game. Some really good visuals and a few blind shots but overall a fun experience - just wish the bar was open when we finished but it was millionaires golf playing at twilight.
Bank Holiday Golf
Exceptionally interesting course
Quite hilly throughout with some challenging holes, 13th in particular.
Greens in excellent condition with many difficult approach shots.
A tough course for a beginner and a test for a average skilled golfer.
Food and beer hit the spot in the clubhouse.
Beautiful
Picturesque, tricky course and not for the faint hearted with plenty of hills to climb but never the less very enjoyable
Beautiful challenging course
I have played at Silverdale before but never when it has been in such great condition.
The fairways and tee beds are very well maintained and the greens in fantastic condition, this following weeks of cold, dry weather and a few days rainfall. The staff have clearly worked hard on this course.
The course is split in two, separated by the road and rail line. The op Ning hole and 11 onwards are on difficult terrain and quite often of your lie can be hounded by undulating fairways or first cut making for some very challenging shots.
The remaining holes across the road offer their own challenges with a few bold shots to small greens, it’s a good challenge and with better course knowledge probably far less frustrating.
Carry out some research and give Silverdale a go, well recommended
Great course
Excellent course, a real variety of challenges! Got a fantastic deal, thoroughly enjoyable day!
Excellent course
Lovely course set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside. The first 9 includes lots of middle to longer distance holes with wide fairways but challenging tee shots. The second 9 gets very varied and has some extremely interesting terrain to deal with. The course was in immaculate condition and the greens were fast and challenging as they should be.
Course review
One of the most picturesque and unique courses around a must try
Tough
Have to say the back 8 tees at silver dale are really challenging - first 10 are nice and open and forgiving. Last 8 you have to be very accurate and not having a bad day otherwise a few meltdowns are possible
