South Cerney Golf Club

I have played here a few times and enjoyed it. This time was very disappointing. Play was unbelievably slow and we gave up after 9 holes. Some three balls ahead seemed unable to keep up pace and I saw the curious sight of a five ball further ahead which won’t have helped. Course was struggling after a sry period of weather. One final thing - I have never seen more broken tees left on tee boxes in my life!

Really enjoyable and relaxing course. We were a 3 ball of beginner to intermediate golfers and found the course really enjoyable. Not super challenging but in a good way as plenty of decent obstacles and hole layouts with the greens especially being very varied and unique to each hole. Very easy to walk, most uphill holes are a gentle incline. Clubhouse very nicely set out with great food and cracking coffee, staff were super friendly and welcoming.

I always enjoy my rounds here, great course, wide yet challenging enough to keep you busy. Just wish it was on England Golf.

The greens where not a very good condition this time around but I always enjoy mt walks on this course.

Weather was gorgeous

We play this course frequently. It is always in good condition, and drains well in the rain.

The 'hodeals price saved our 4 ball £12, enough for hot drink at the end of a fun round.

Course was in very good condition for this time of year with very fast greens. Would play here every week if I had the chance. Showers and toilets stop it getting a 5 star overall rating.

My 3rd time in recent weeks playing at South Cerney GC. The Pay and Play process is straightforward & good value for money.

My only criticism is that the ‘Hot Deals’ are a bit misleading as I requested a 2 player option & only realised that other players could/would join our round when at the course.

If I had known this in advance I would not have booked a Hot Deal tee time.

As the weather had been so wet recently the usual courses we play were closed. South Cerney however was open and in relatively good condition as it drains really well. The course is relatively flat with limited hazards (bunkers or rough) to get stuck in, so easy to play. However it does have some really good holes which will provide a challenge and allow you to test your driving accuracy and iron play. Greens are much improved on a few years back, so well done to the greenkeeping staff.

Despite what seems like incessant rain recently South Cerney was open and in good condition. Greens are much improved so well done to the ground staff!

Love the whole set up course bar etc very friendly can't fault

This was my second time at South Cerney, the first back in early December last year and again, I had a great day of golf. I've been meaning to go for years and glad I did. The website was welcoming, the staff friendly, the facilities covered everything and the course was really nice. Though it did not surprise me (if you know the area), the course drainage was excellent as the course for this time of year was amazing (no issue with using your trolley). The greens were immaculate, really good fairways and decent condition tee areas.. I also found it a really good challenge when the wind blew, which it did, making some short holes trickier thsn some longer ones. Looking forward to more days out here especially to see the course in it's full summer glory.

Bare in mind the weather conditions not great with wind and rain the fairways and greens especially were great.

The course is very open and a lot of holes don’t have much in the way of trees, bunkers, water so a good course for a beginner. Greens were slow but in good condition and considering amount of rain overall course was in good condition. Shame course isn’t on golf England though so can’t be used to help with handicap!
