Raining day
Had a lovely Saturday playing Springwater. . Very wet. Rain and wind but the course was great. Few puddles but with the amount of rain on there it drained well. And with the weather hardly anyone was on the course
Very hilly
Nice place. Greens really good but the hills are killers you are forever guessing where your ball has gone. Love the last 9 holes not so keen on the front 9
Steady course to play
Nice little course a bit hilly on a couple of holes .. if your starting out this course is pretty good .. all holes make you think but are forgiving apart from the tenth, which is tough .. had a great day .. thought greens could have been a little better seeing that they’ve not been played on since second lockdown.. but other than that spot on ..
A hole
Terrible condition, after lockdown I was hoping for more but this place is falling to bits. Second hand astroturf used for new paths .... oh dear. The greens are terrible, long grass but rock hard.
After the rain we've had in the last few days and heavy foot fall after lockdown the course was in surprisingly good condition. The greens were great as usual.
Mud bath
Clay soil and rain does not mix, course an absolute sodden mud bath. Greens in good order considering the conditions but thought more could be done to keep the rest of the course drained and tidy. Maybe green staff were off for lockdown but I expected better. Also signs of buggy use recently which is a shame given the wet clay should put a total stop on their use.
Very good course BUT
I have played spring warmer a few times it is a very nice course and normally well kept. On this occasion the course was very muddy ( no fault of the staff ) but for the time of year and the amount of rain we have had to be expected. My biggest problem was with the greens they seem to be covered in bald spots witch makes putting very hard to read as you can’t predict witch way the spots will move your ball. It was hard to pick a line on the green and trust where you were hitting as on more than one occasion the spots made my ball jump left/right
Great Course
There was a problem with the online booking going through to the club but they were very accommodating and offered us an alternative tee-time within 10 minutes of our original tee-off. They also went out of their way to provide us with a buggy, special thanks to Dodger the green keeper. Cheers mate.
Course Review
Quality course that’s reasonably priced. There are worse courses than this that cost £75-£100+ per round.
Slow play
Started well, but the course was very busy and by the 10th it we had to wait for 2 lots of players before we could tee off. Decided enough was enough and walked in.
