Really great course and greens were fast and very well maintained. Much better than other local North London courses that I’ve played over summer.

This is a very nice course in good condition and excellent value. The course was busy, but the conditions of the course were excellent. There was a 2-ball, 2 groups in front that were very slow and held us up, but other than that, this is an excellent course.

A couple of the tee boxes have stunning views.

The course was immaculate with some challenging holes, however all this would all be overshadowed by the pace of play. Having to constantly wait on tee boxes for groups to move down fairways and then wait to play up to the green as apparently this is a good time to discuss what I can only assume to be strokes and how many points, it is very disappointing that there was no Marshall from the club coming round to manage this as it was obvious there was a backlog when in the space of 3 holes there are 9 groups and more are catching up to the back log. Very disappointed.

Well maintained course, got practice area, and net too, a bit hilly, but the course itself was good. Pity it was raining in the last 3 holes, beside that, found few members there were a bit loud, especially when we were tee off, they were still chatting loudly (next tee to us , using their home tone / not English, sounds Hindi), we were politely let one single player gone through (we were not slow at all, just our first time, want to enjoy the course, but he did not say anything), so based on that experience, I felt not going to join that club.. however, happy to try again as a guest.

Teamed up with a member (Khimji) he has a 5 day membership he was friendly & helpful. He made my first round at Stanmore very enjoyable, would definitely go again & recommended to others. Only down side was Pro-shop was UNMANNED (Door Locked) , was told he was coaching at the time, but didn't need a scorecard as I had my GPS.

Played 4 August 2020. Course in terrible condition - fairways chopped up and basically dirt, most tee boxes uneven, barren in the rough. Temporary greens on the front 9, flag just planted in front of the green, half of them they didn’t bother to mow at all so just putting through rough. Back 9 was normal greens but they’d just been cored and sanded so not much better. Not told about this before booking. At £35 in twilight even with good greens this would have been bad value relative to other courses nearby, but given the green situation it’s ridiculous they charged that much and didn’t make players aware.

Course itself is very short and fairly gimmicky to compensate. Pace of play was pretty slow. Would avoid

First time to play there . Nice coarse well presented. Be advised it has some steep climbs . Overall a good experience.

This was my first visit. Great course with a character. Very well maintained. I’d recommend it to everyone.

Majestic course. Well maintained and prestine condition. Really enjoyed the round.

Caution.... It's a tough walk!!!!
