Enjoyable round
The course was a little unusual with 3no. Consecutive Par 5's on the front nine, and the short par 3 15th where you walk all the back on yourself after playing it to the 16th tee; but it was in good condition and it was a fair test. Greens rolled lovely, and some really nice old trees around the course. You certainly have to hit some proper shots. Would certainly play again.

Midweek afternoon
Nice course, showing some signs of the recent dry weather. Friendly staff. Round slightly spoilt by slow play. Saw a five player group on the 17th!

Very slow play
Awful today, too many groups accepted on 8 min increments, very slow 2 balls who didn’t care how slow they were playing, under 18’s with no adults, playing in tracksuits and trainers who had never hit a golf ball before. I’m not a great golfer but when a 3 ball is outpacing a 2 ball groups, it spoils the game.

Awful rock hard grassless fairways.
Greens were bobbly and diseased.
Shocking that they charge £40 for a course that has obviously been neglected and no obvious signs of maintenance.

There's better about
The course simply does not drain , still very wet and muddy , greens were looking ok .
Some winter mats still in play and you can't get a tee in them .
It's a shame because it used to be a great course .
