West berks virgin no more
Excellent course greens fast and deceptive very enjoyable round with my mates and cheap too
We will return
Thankyou west berks golf
Excellent
Course was in great condition, the lady in the pro shop was very polite and friendly,
Tight course due to tree lines
Staff friendly course dry but good, only down side was the club was closed when we finished at about 19.15, otherwise everything else was excellent.
Greens improving, yellow tees too far forward
Second time playing West Berkshire this year; wont be my last.
Like the test and the greens are improving fast after the awful spring weather we suffered.
A few stones in the bunkers, which is always frustrating, but I guess I should just avoid them!
Both times I’ve played though, the bar facilities were closed when I finished my round.
Good course.
Good course, I like the layout and the length of the course. The greens were far too slow though and quite a few burnt/patchy. Another course that suffers badly with un-repaired pitch marks.
Club house is decent but was closed when we finished at 7.
I have played this course many times, normally its in fantastic shape, hopefully it returns to this soon.
lengthy first 9
Excellent value. Played in cold and windy (at times) conditions. Quite a few tight holes and long par 5s. Will play again
Excellent course well maintained, very welcoming course is playing very well greens are in immaculate condition for this time of year.
Hidden gem
Well kept and challenging course for all standards. Good catering facilities we had a good day weather was kind.
This is the 3rd time played the course and although the weather was not on our side the course played well. This is a little jewel in the Berkshire countryside
First time
Lovely peaceful surroundings. Not too easy to find.
A days golf at West Berkshire GC
This course has improved over the years with some challenging holes and plenty of trees to hide in. The yellow tees let the overall course down a bit as they are not up to the standard of the rest of the course. But overall a nice place and and we will certainly go back.

Great value
Really enjoyed the course a good fair test of golf. Tree lined fairways which meant accuracy was everything. A good long course off the whites but we got asked to play from yellows which had been pushed forward which was a shame, but probably done for the society that was out there. Not sure what time they went out but as a two we caught them after 6 holes and the round ground to a halt. Ended up around 4 hours which I suppose ain't bad but felt much slower as we had another 2 ball behind pushing a little but when offered to go through did understand the position and declined. Club house quite small and no golf shoes allowed which is strange these days.Did have a sandwich and couple of beers. Bar staff friendly but lady in the kitchen needs a lesson in customer service. Spend 10 mins sorting sauces out while customers queued. One guy actually walked away in disgust and she was there stood next to us but didn't even acknowledge we were there. I'll be with you in two minutes would have done but just ignored until she was ready. And a job that could have been done any time. Don't let that put you off the course however it was good, not what I would call manicured but tidy enough.
