2nd visit another excellent day top conditions met up with 3 members half we round who were really helpful and friendly considering I’m relatively inexperienced highly recommended greens immaculate again Thankyou to all

Finally found a slot to play Waterton and it was a positive experience. Winter tee boxes and fairway mats in play - this significantly reduced length of course and affected gameplay for me personally. Some nicely designed holes. Overall impressed and will return next spring/summer. One quibble, there were several holes where signposting to tees could be much better... Followed 'next tee' sign twice to find ourselves at wrong tee box!

Good variety of holes. Greens good. Par 3’s are excellent.

Pro shop, Greenkeepers, bar staff all as brilliant as the course.

The pace of play was a little slow but the course was in fantastic condition and the greens we immaculate so we weren't too bothered.

And then we reached the 14th green and disaster. The greenkeepers had tyned and spread sand on the 14th to 18th greens but not had chance to brush the excess away making the greens almost unplayable. It's a shame it spoilt a good day.

Nice course, some nice holes and couldn't fault anything.

Only played twice but will definitely be back

First time playing this course. It was in very good condition and a great challenge. Amenities were excellent particularly the bacon sandwiches at the half way house. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Pace of play was a bit slow but that certainly would not put me off returning

Lovely course running around Waterton Hall. Pretty underlying and some long walks. Lovely course. Greens a little bumpey and hard but definately worth a visit

Great course, we wee just a little unlucky with the greens as they were very sandy but it has to be done. I’m sure the greens are top condition generally as is the rest of the course. Will be putting my name down on the waiting list very soon!

Despite the recent bad weather all the greens were in play save the eighth and we’re in good condition.

Play Watertown quite regularly and always enjoy the course 2nd hole par three is a cracker

The course is well maintained during winter months.

Hedgehog spikes only and hole 8 was closed.

Hole 3 was shortened to a par 3 instead of a 5.

Still playing off winter tee’s at the moment.

Betty did a great bacon and sausage sandwich at the halfway house. I went level par after I ate it. Went back for seconds after I finished my round. Greens decent too.

Have lived within 30 minutes of Wakefield for 20 years and never been to the course. It’s absolutely fantastic. It stood head and shoulders above all other courses I have played since the weather got Wintery. Greens were fantastic. Lots of signature holes.. it’s a hilly course so it’s tiring to play but the halfway house does a cracking bacon butty to help you along
