Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club

Course was in good condition, rough not too long. Fortunately, course wasn’t too busy so got round in good time. Lost a few balls as usual but an enjoyable course to play

First time here, not in bad condition and for £40, we couldn't grumble, good breakfast before we started too.

Nice course and clubhouse, including a huge outdoor screen showing the Ashes and the Open. The course has a good array of challenging holes. The fairways were hard and a bit bare in places. The greens were in great nick and pretty quick, with lots of undulations making for some tricky putts. My only gripes, some of the bunkers had barely any sand, and £40 for a buggy, which were apparently gifted by another local club, had definitely seen better days.

Have to unfortunately join the chorus of folks mentioning slow play. Took 5 & 1/2 hours to play on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn’t one tee box, aside from the first, where we didn’t have to wait for a long time to play. The course was in good shape (greens really receptive even with the hot/dry weather) but certainly spoiled the experience waiting constantly.

Course overloaded, golfers playing playing at a slow pace not letting people play through , no sand in the bunkers, Greens were to hard , so ball would bounce off the greens ,

Grounds man was watering the Green after we played them . I felt we were let down by the club. Really disappointed with the day.

I booked a 3 ball via the Golf now app for 14.15 tee off time. After picking up our cards from the club house, we noted that there were a few golfers ahead of us, despite it being 14.15 already. We eventually tee’d off around 2.40pm. However as soon as we went to the next hole (2), we again had to wait for another 10 minutes before we could tee off again due to the players ahead of us, unfortunately this was just the beginning as we continually had to wait for each shot on green’s and on the tee on all the following holes. As the day progressed, the waiting time increased to 15-20 on each hole. By the time we got to the 8th hole we were already in the course for nearly 3 hours! We left as we would not have finished until 6-7pm.

We finally reached the 8th hole, and realised that we still had 2 groups ahead of us and that we had already been on the course for more then 3 hours! We left as we would have been there for over 6 hours to complete our round.

Nice course with some challenging holes. The only down side was bunkers they had gravel sand in them and we was unable to play out of them. Apart from that ok

No point booking a tee time waiting for 3 teams infront to tee off. Walked off at 6 hole fed up of waiting so long at every hole

Not in the best of condition due to recent weather. Bunkers need to be worked on. Fairways need cutting.

The slowest golf course I’ve played in. 4 balls don’t let 1 ball through. Just slow.

The tee off area in very poor condition, green pitch markes not being repaired. Slow play is to next level from hole 2 we had 3 groups waiting nehind us. When we called pro shop to inquire if there was any issues Tony was so rude and said if you don't like dont come.

Good tight and challenging course with bunkers everywhere!!! Great bunker practice though.

Only issue is that the next tee offs are not sign posted so confusing for 1st or 2nd time player there. Also kitchen was closed at 3pm so only had coffee and no food after the round.
