Mearns Castle Golf Academy

First time playing Mearns Castle, was a great 9 hole course. Excellent condition, held up really well despite the rain too! Definitely will be booking again over the next few weeks.

Although it was winter greens, still well looked after course, will be back through the summer

Great 9 hole course, driving range to warm up before playing the round, cafe for after round, staff really friendly and helpful, highly recommend.

You should definitely give this course a try. Excellent course with a nice staff. Very challenging.

Fine staff managing a very good golf course. Very difficult track.

Good course for learners and beginners. Very playable. Average golfer standard is likely to be mid to high handicap so pace of play can be slower. Greens in good enough condition as were fairways. Tees a little beaten up but they need rain like everywhere else. Overall good experience.

I’m not sure they totally manage people playing 18 vs people playing 9 and teeing off on schedule.

Maybe more aimed at the occasional golfer than a club golfer.

It seemed quite sandy, generally the course was good and interesting enough for the average golfer though.

Although it’s in the mearns and you may have pre-conceptions cast them aside and get it booked . Lovely course, well kept and staff friendly as a first time visitor.. Only negative I would say as a strong salesman nobody encouraged me to join after a good round.
