Great Value for money

Very enjoyable course which comes with costs half of what most courses in Suffolk/Norfolk do. Some very enjoyable and quirky holes, enjoyable experience. Only thing that could improve is some greens.

Disappointing round

Bank holiday was very busy but the pace of play and etiquette of other golfers was so poor I only managed to complete 12 holes. One party I saw on the course had 7 people in.

Great improvement

The best course layout in and around suffolk by far, each hole has its own unique quirk.

It's been awhile since one can be confident with putting, greens are amazing 👏.

Pleasantly suprised

As a former member returning to play a green fee after not visiting for 4 years the club has changed a lot, for the better.

The course is looking good and the greens (which were the issue) are now largely resolved. Compared to others locally they fully hold their own.

If the improvements to the course and amenities continue on this trend will likely be one of the best clubs around.

Got a round for 20 quid on a Friday morning and was well worth it.

Would now be nice to see some of the tee boxes shown the same live as the greens as some are well worn, however there are some new ones that weren't in play but look nice.

Quaint little course

Lovely little course for a relatively cheap price.

Limit in practice facilities but the course was fun and the back 9 condition like you would expect from a more expensive course.

Pace of play was really good too. Will be back.

Very dry

Interesting course , some easy holes and some very difficult . Ground is common land and very hard and bumpy. Greens in top condition but could have done with an extra cut. Overall good course and would go again.

Overall review

I played as a 4 ball, teeing at 14:00 on a Sunday afternoon and suffered a 5 hour 30 minute round as the club had let a 5 ball out at 13:45. Us and another 4 ball infront painfully dealt with the consequences of this as they would not let anyone play through.

The course itself was in pretty poor condition. Tee boxes were absolutely abysmal to say the least (2 images attached). Bunkers were terrible, and fairways were also poor, fairways can be forgiven as its weather dependant to an extent, but nevertheless poor.

Greens were, as they should be green. However they did not give a true roll and were very tufty in places. Could definitely do with a haircut.

Overall I would say a shocker.

Full of character

Like a links course but without the sea. Lots of open fairways and full of character. Fast greens. Tees could be better.

Fantastic facilities of course.

Good course layout

Good course layout and different vetting holes enjoyed it. Friendly staff that let me tee off early than booked for aswell. Only thing that did let it down was the course condition at times. Some tee box’s had very little grass and quite uneven plus the fairways are very dry which is expected due to the weather but some areas were struggling. Overall for the price it’s a really good place to go and would recommend to friends and will go again.
