Cobblestone Golf Course

This is a tight course, ball placement is key. Course was in good shape though.

I’ve played this course upwards of 12 times and 90% of the rounds were over 5 hours. They do not manage pace of play at this course at all. The push and fit in rounds and it just causes problems. The group of guys I play with we all shoot mid 70s and it still takes us over 5 hours. The Marshall’s only hold young people accountable and not their good ole boy club members. It’s just not a course I can recommend based on your experience. The shape of the course is great always but it’s not worth the wait.

Just got reminded today why I stopped playing here. It’s bc they overpack the tee times. You’ll have 3 groups of 4 per hole. One group on the tee box, one group on their 2/3 shot and one group on the greens. One employee was telling me they’ve more than doubled their weekly golfers over the last few years. Their hurding is out there while making more than double what they used to

Cobblestone is almost always a great place to play. Not Labor Day. Greens were terrible and areas were burnt off on several fairways. Most of the greens were cooked. I am not playing there again until 2026.

I love Cobblestone. Normally it’s the best public access course around Atlanta until yesterday. Cobblestone is normally in awesome shape all the time. The greens are burnt out with little grass. Some fairways are burnt out too. I was very disappointed yesterday. I will not go back until next summer 2026. Need to re-sod now before it’s too late.

Layout is nice in a very quiet setting. Elevation changes and lie challenges are great. The conditions of the course left much to be desired. Many bare spots in fairways and every green had a different issue. Lots of sand on greens and inconsistent. One may want to ask about recent conditions before booking. You could get surprised. Either good or bad.

I’ve been wanting to play this course for some time, so I was disappointed to find that many of the greens were in poor shape, with a lot of sand. The course was cart-path only due to rain earlier in the week, but that doesn’t explain the 5 hour and 10 minute round.

That said, I can see the potential here and would like to give Cobblestone another chance. I’ll chalk this visit up as a “one-off” and hope for a better experience next time.

I anticipated playing this course for quite some time. Finally got the opportunity to come out and the greens are in bad shape. It was cartpath only because of rain earlier in the week can’t fault for that but the round took five hours and 10 minutes. I see this is a potentially good place to play. Just not the day we played. I’d like to give it another shot. Maybe in the fall once the greens fill in if they do

The greens weren't good, some worse than others. Pace of play as always is slow. Where does all the money they make go? The place is always busy and should be in better shape. It's a shame because it's a great layout.

The greens had just been sanded. There was no mention of this at any time. No discount offered for sanded greens.

The greens were loaded with sand, ball bounced all over the place. It was cart path only. I can see it being cart path only on some holes but all of them was ridiculous. The price was much too expensive for the condition of the course. When I made my tee time, the alert was the greens were aerated. They may have been. However it should have been listed that the sand was over the greens.(thick layer)

It said on the course site (not Golfnow) that the greens were aerated but nothing about the complete coverage of every green and the whole green in sand! Fairways were also torn up. Terrible to let people play on the track when its like that
