Alhambra Municipal Golf Course

For the past 2 weeks they have temporary tee boxes. Everyone basically hits from Reds distance. They aren't even real tee boxes, they just killed the grass in certain areas and have you hit form there. They are in horrible condition. Lots of standing water in certain areas creating mud. Grass in the 2nd and 3rd cuts are cut very uneven making very tough lies. Greens have gotten a little better from before, but still have dirt areas. Overall the course is not playing well. I would wait until it gets better.

The only thing was the tee boxes were closed so we had to tee off and the ground was uneven other then that it was fine

This course does not accept cash. Could not find anywhere that this was posted (online or at the course).

We found out at tee-time that ALL tee boxes were closed (no where was this posted), so we had to tee off 80 to 100 yards closer to the pin... (again, NO NOTICE).

Mud everywhere (there has been no rain for months). Their watering system is really fouled up.

Greens were very "pitty". Lot's of divots and chunks taken out.

Tried to discuss this with someone at the course, but not receptive or willing to listen (mostly just smiled and laughed, saying "I only work here").

Course was in good shape and piece of play was great. The driving range you hit off mats and the balls were pretty beat up, but the course itself was in good shape. Greens rolled true.

The Greens are still peppered with un-repaired Ball Marks... Seems to be the same every round. Also, the crows don't help. But this is NOT on the maintenance crew. They are diligent. Us players must be REMINDED on the course. Maybee with signs on the flagsticks? Anyway, the staff is great, informative and kind Also, the new reservation system has cut my ability for a reasonable Tee Time almost unobtainable. And I golf during the week.

Played on a Thursday morning thinking I got lucky to get a tee time. No warning from Golf Now or the starter of the poor maintenance conditions going on that day. Found out after teeing off that all tee boxes were shaved and seeded and temporary tees were used to play the course. The “temporary tee boxes” were horrible. They should have placed driving range mats instead to compensate instead of doing that. Most of the tee boxes were muddy or unplayable. Speaking of which, the course itself seemed like everything was overwatered. There were soft ground almost every where you walk. This course use to be nice but after this experience, I will think twice before coming back again.

Every T box was under repair and alternate 5T boxes were 40 to 60 yds up rendering the like an excecutuve course. Horrible … would have been nice to have notified us on line

Looks like they been working in the green and fairways so it plays like par 62. Condition been bad this whole year. I don’t recommend coming until maybe next year when things are fully repaired.

What can I say, the green were recently punched, and the tee boxes where being redone. Today the course played extremely short, pretty much had to wait every hole for the safety of the group in front. Shot my best round today probably due to the shorter length. I still had a great time, and you can’t beat $25 for an round and a cart.

Great round of course until I walked to my truck and seeing it got hit in the left rear side and to cámaras there. Just a bummer…
