Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Par 3 13th Photo submitted by HOTSPOTTS on 07/27/2018
Weed weed divots
Currently in horrible condition, avoid if you plan to keep track of score. Greens are full of divots, debris, duck droppings. Good if you want to practice iron and driver games.
great place to play
The course is in great shape, except a couple of greens, such as hole #3, which the green is often bad in patches for some reason. There was one other green in mediocre shape, but all the others were great! The course overall shape was amazing considering the hot weather we have had -- few brown spots.
Staff is always very friendly and courteous!!
Great place to have a drink after 18 holes of fun!
Sam is the best caddy
He has great advice for first timer. Had a great time with my son.
Wonderful and fun muni course in SoCal
Alhambra GC never disappoints. From the opening and tight drivable par 4 with trouble left and trees right, it is a fun and exciting place to play golf.
My LA buddies and I love playing here and have went head to head from the first tee box to the 18th green on many occasions.
We love the drivable par 4s, pace of play, nice greens and dynamic layout.
Recently, my buddy drove the green on #4, made his eagle putt and the money bets got even tighter as he navigated the rest of the course with a target on his back. These are the kind of memories we will have to talk about for years to come.
Alhambra is a fun track with great golf holes and has created wonderful memories for myself and our golf group. I hope to keep playing here for the rest of my days.
Highly recommend this property.
Love playing you course
Your staff is always so friendly and inviting.
Your course is very fitting for senior players.
rough is extra rough
not a complaint but the rough is considerably taller/thicker which led to lost balls this week
very much appreciate the effort to remove the excess plant matter in the big lake!
Best bang for your buck…..
Great course for the pricing, easy especially if you can play after 3pm.
Pros…friendly staff, not much water, great course to walk. Great back 9 layout.
Cons…Lots of Geese on front 9, public course with many players without golf etiquette.
Hidden Gem
We played Alhambra Golf Course and found it to be an excellent venue. The layout has mostly straight-away fairways, a good combination of 4 par and 3 par holes, as well as 3, 5 par holes. The large trees separating fairways create a stunning setting for golf. I noticed the tee pads and some of the greens had thick Bermuda shoots growing - these should be removed. The course was generally very well kept. A great day for golf!
Could be better
There’s a lot of good value to this course. However, there are a handful of issues that they either can’t fix or are choosing not to. Specifically speaking, the bunkers have been terrible for the last few years. There’s never any playable sand. It’s either hard as rock or soaking wet underneath. They also constantly have ground under repair and do a minimal or lazy job of marking it with a flag or two. But one club length also doesn’t make a difference because even in that radius, the grass and mud are still unplayable. These two specific things could potentially make for an overall excellent experience, if they did something about their drainage
