Alhambra Municipal Golf Course

Alhambra is a really good course. Only complaint is they let a group of 5 out around 830am who were beyond slow. Almost a 3 hour front, I skipped the ninth to get ahead of them and played the back by myself. It took me until the 15th hole to catch up with the foursome ahead. Get the pace of play fixed and the course will be perfect.

Coarse in good shape, good pace ,very friendly staff. Worth the green fee.

Value for money. First couple holes to many birds. Lots of bird droppings. Pace of play was really good. Greens had to many leaves, sticks, and ball divots. Rough to put.

Everything is great about this course but there were too many geese on the 9th hole. There had to be at least 50 geese in front of the green and on the green. I had to chip over a goose and he sat on my ball trying to hatch it.

It was pretty funny. My put went right between their legs. Not sure what can be done about the geese, but they sure liked the 9th hole.

I always like playing Alhambra, drivable par 4s, and at least 1 eagle opportunity per match. Not too much out of bounds or hazards, it’s good for beginners and intermediate players because you can score well. I shot 7 over. One thing I don’t like are the bunkers, the sand is way too compact, more like hard dirt than sand, and some greens have a lot of leaf litter, but other than that, everything is green, first cut rough isn’t too thick, and the greens are manicured perfectly.
