Alhambra Municipal Golf Course

The course is shorter from the blues than most, but that’s not a criticism. Walking this course was a pleasure. Course conditions were really good. Greens were quicker than expected… that was an unexpected but welcome challenge.

Pace of play was average… had to wait to tee off a few times, but nothing major.

Overall, a really pleasant walking round on a sunny afternoon. Who can ask for more?

Good spot for the price. Back nine is tough so better score early.

Played a rare 3 1/2 hour round that was quite enjoyable. Playing before 8 on most weekday mornings usually gets you in around 4 hours.

This is my home course. I love it. The course is challenging, but it’s just the perfect amount of challenging. It’s definitely a course that makes you feel good about your golf game. Both front and back are well maintained. And for the price, you get a better experience than most country clubs I’ve been to. All around an awesome course!

This is the course I learned to play golf on. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I've played an many other courses from Colorado to Palm Springs and Alhambra is comfort food. The staff is amazing especially Julius and Jasmine. That said, this course must be good since I hear people from all around southern California continue to play here.

If you are with friends who want to have a good time, and don’t mind to spend 6 hours for 18 holes, this is a nice place to play. If you are working on your golf skill improvements, this place is not ideal.

We drove up from Long Beach. Long Beach course's are already showing lack of care since the last rain.

Not Alhambra! Tee boxes in great shape. Greens are perfect and Fairways complete the obvious care and maintenance. Great job goes to the maintenance crew who take pride in their job. Quite honestly, outstanding customer service all around, from the people working the Pro Shop to the waitresses and grill cook in the restaurant. Never have had a bad experience.

There was a five some ahead of us. The course needs to do a better job of enforcing pace.

Have played Alhambra a bunch over the last 2 months and love it. Pace of play is always great and staff is awesome. Case in point, on Sunday we had a 12:10 tee time. On the back 9, the 4 some in front of us had a fight and split up into 2 2-somes, which really slowed pace of play.

On Hole 14, there were Marshalls out on the course to investigate what was happening and pushed pace of play back up by making the 4 some join back up. Even with that, we did 18 in just under 4:10. If the group hadn't broken up, I bet we could have done it sub 4 hours easy.

Marshalls are great. Course is very fun, albeit short.

At 54.50 and with the ease of getting a tee time most days, this is going to quickly become my go to course.

Pace of play back in the day was trash, very surprising that we started on time and the pace was actually good. Got held up on couple holes but overall we had a good time. Always coo to comeback and tuneup the game before hitting a much bigger ballpark.
