About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

A bad day to play but still like the course and the pro shop
Got caught behind a five-some with a disable golfer. After playing two holes, the five-some was already two and a half holes behind and the gap was easily growing. We skipped three holes (3, 4, and 5) to play in front of them with the marshal's recommendation. After finishing the round, the pro shop was very gracious to let us replay the entire front 9. I just wanted to finish 3, 4, and 5 but he said it was easier to play 1 through 5 without interrupting others. He was absolutely right but I didn't have time so i called it the day. I really appreciate his effort to give me the opportunity to finish. Normally I would take him up on his offer but just ran out of time.. Good job pro shop. Sorry I didn't get your name.

Great Value close to downtown LA
Alhambra is always my go to for a quick round. Very walkable course, played 18 holes in 3.5hrs. Greens are well kept and this medium length course provides some tricky shots to test anyone.

course in great shape
Course in great shape, greens are fast, but fair. All in great shape except one green (hole #6? ) looks like some idiot ran over the green with a golf cart when it was really soft and tire marks are all over the area...but at least was fixed in terms of being level. It will need a couple of more weeks to get in proper shape. Range area was closed when there....
Nice course but bunkers are terrible.
Front 9 was good. Back 9 had too many hills and uneven lilies. Biggest complaint is the bunkers, dirt instead of sand and full of rocks that scratched my clubs.
No more Five-some groups
Played here last Thursday and was having a great time till I made the turn. On hole 10, I found myself in front of a group of 5 players together. They totally slowed the pace of play and did not allow me to get ahead. Greens were great, but fairways were extremely soaked due to rain.
